Description
Hi travelers we need help in creating a bakery pizzeria in the beautiful town of Xico Veracruz.
Particularly interesting are people that like to jam out and bake and are good at deep philosophical conversations and really want to engage and live life.
This is a project in the beginning stages
Of something that is happening organically with available local resources
The vision is a pizzeria, bakery.. and we'll see what else it becomes
Our general philosophy manifests by taking the time and discernment to find the best ingredients, that are produced locally or at least within the country. It is a slow collecting, from spices to nuts and grains, fruit, vegetables, oils. we like to know that it's being grown within nature's natural capacity not pushing it to its limits for production, and ultimately profit, in fact most of the best things do not have a label, are not produced by a company, they are small businesses by people that are personally doing the hard and sweaty work, and it is often a bit messy and rustic, not everything bent to the humans perception of correct
We have a farm 20 minutes away with cows and goats and other animals
where we produce all the dairy products,
The farm has it's own volunteering profile
But this one is for the house we have in town.
We offer 3 meals a day or the ingredients to prepare them
It has a back yard for gardening, or making a pond and plenty of other ideas
The main focus right now is making the bakery. We are half way into making the wood fire oven, and figuring it out as we go. we want make a beautiful space.
Some things we make are cheese, butter, yogurt, ice cream, bread, pastries, granola, and whatever we come up with.
Some other experimental things we do or would like to do like whey soda, ginger beer, a sun drying rack for seasonal fruit or avocado oil and sundried tomatoes, jams etc,
We have 2 bedrooms
And you'd be living with the family and as such..
Hopefully we can get comfortable enough to have heated philosophical debates
It is definitely a plus if you are a musician, I think we'll get along if you are someone who has developed a body of knowledge from your own personal experience.
Take responsiblity for it, you make it!
Yes to weirdos and renegades, hippies and travelers and hobos,
