Description
14 people from 4 generations live at the old sawmill (Altes Sägewerk), as well as chickens, sheep, cats and dogs. The property is quite large with almost 2 hectares and we do not always manage the many tasks on our own and look forward to your support.
At the beginning of July we would like to tidy up the old bathing pond so that a new pond liner can be put in and the water doesn't always seep away. It's not a difficult task, but it's more fun and much quicker in a group. And that's why we're looking for you!
There is plenty of space and sleeping options inside and out, either rustic or a bit more comfortable.
Bicycles are available for activities in the immediate vicinity, otherwise you can also hike a lot on foot, but for some trips you might need a vehicle. The next largest town (8km away), Bad Münder, offers a few bars and shops, otherwise Hannover can also be reached within 45 minutes.

Am Alten Sägewerk leben 14 Menschen aus 4 Generation, sowie Hühner, Schafe, Katzen und Hunde. Das Grundstück ist mit beinahe 2 Hektar sehr groß und wir schaffen die vielen Aufgaben nicht immer allein und freuen uns über eure Unterstützung.
Anfang Juli würden wir gerne den alten Badeteich aufräumen, damit neue Teichfolie rein kann und das Wasser nicht immer versickert. Es ist keine schwere Aufgabe, macht aber als Gruppe mehr Spaß und geht viel schneller. Und dafür suchen wir Euch!
Es gibt jede Menge Platz und Schlafmöglichkeiten innen und außen, entweder rustikal oder auch etwas komfortabler.
Für Unternehmungen im näheren Umfeld bieten sich Fahrräder an, ansonsten kann man auch zu Fuß viel erwandern, für manches braucht man dann aber doch ein Fahrzeug. Der nächstgrößere Ort (8km entfernt), Bad Münder, bietet ein paar Kneipen und Geschäfte, ansonsten ist auch Hannover in 45 Minuten erreichbar.

We look forward to an exchange of life stories, travel reports, interests and ways of life or typical regional eating habits. The helpers will learn how to prepare a pond and can explore the Deister and Süntel (a "mountain range"), hike to the Hohenstein, or go on bike tours to the historic town of Hameln. We will eat together, e.g. the very typical "Mett breakfast", but vegetarians/vegans will also be catered for.

Wir freuen uns über einen Austausch von Lebensgeschichten, Reiseberichten, Interessen und Lebensweisen oder typische Regionale Essgewohnheiten. Die Helfer lernen, wie man eine Teichanlage vorbereitet und können den Deister und Süntel (ein "Gebirge") erkunden, zum Hohenstein wandern, oder Radtouren in die historische Rattenfänger-Stadt Hameln unternehmen. Wir werden gemeinsam Essen, z.B das sehr typische "Mettfrühstück", aber auch für Vegetarier/Veganer wird gesorgt.

For this summer, the renewal of the bathing pond on our beautiful orchard is the top priority.
We need 5-6 helpers to help us on the weekend Sat/Sun 1-2 July to remove the old pond liner, clean up the pool, check the old protective fleece and partially repair it and prepare it for the new liner. We estimate that the task will take about 6 hours to complete with the appropriate number of helpers. These hours could easily be spread over two days. Good shoes would be helpful so that you can stand well on the embankment of the pond, other than that we have everything else here.
We will also have a barbecue and it would be nice to make a campfire together in the evening, listen to music, dance, play, chat.... Food and drink will of course be provided, if you feel like it you can camp, otherwise we also have indoor sleeping accommodations , as well as a kitchen and shower.
Für diesen Sommer steht die Erneuerung des Badeteichs auf unserer schönen Obstwiese an erster Stelle.
Wir bräuchten 5-6 Helfer, die uns an dem Wochenende Sa/So 1-2 Juli helfen die alte Teichfolie zu entfernen, das Becken aufzuräumen, das alte Schutzvlies zu prüfen und teilweise auszubessern und für die neue Folie vorzubereiten. Wir schätzen, dass die Aufgabe mit der entsprechenden Anzahl an Helfern ca. 6 Stunden dauern wird, diese Stunden könnte man auch ganz entspannt auf zwei Tage verteilen. Hilfreich wären gute Schuhe, damit man auch an der Böschung des Teichs gut stehen kann, alles weitere haben wir da.
Nebenbei werden wir grillen und es wäre schön Abends gemeinsam ein Lagerfeuer zu machen, Musik zu hören, zu tanzen, spielen, quatschen.... Für Essen und Trinken wird natürlich gesorgt, wer Lust hat kann natürlich zelten, ansonsten haben wir auch indoor Schlafgelegenheiten, sowie eine Küche und Dusche.

Wer mag kann bei dem schönen Sommerwetter zelten (wir hätten auch Zelte da), alternativ gibt es einen Wohncontainer mit 2 Betten, ein weiteres Schlafzimmer mit einer großen Schlafcouch für 2, oder die Option auf Matratzen im Gemeinschaftszimmer vor einem riesigen Kamin zu schlafen.
Es gibt eine Gemeinschaftsküche, sowie Dusche und WC. Wir kümmern uns um Frühstück (meist Brot/Brötchen mit Wurst, Käse, Marmelade, Honig) und Abendessen (Grillen), bitte lasst uns wissen, was ihr mögt oder nicht dürft etc.

If you don't have your own vehicle, you can take the train to Bad Münder. It takes 30 minutes from Hannover and we can pick you up from there.
We have a couple of bikes that can be used for trips.
Excursions:
- Hiking/cycling in the Deister or Süntel
- Bad Münder am Deister (Natural spa town with a few shops, small old town, a few shops and pubs)
- Climbing on the Hohenstein or on the Ith
- Excursion to the Steinhuder Meer (large inland lake with water sports, swimming etc.)

Wer nicht mit einem eigenen Fahrzeug anreist, kann mit dem Zug bis Bad Münder fahren. Das dauert von Hannover 30 Minuten und von dort können wir euch abholen.
Wir haben ein paar Fahrräder da, die für Ausflüge genutzt werden können.
Ausflugsmöglichkeiten:
- Wandern/Radfahren im Deister oder Süntel
- Bad Münder am Deister (Kurort mit ein paar Geschäften, kleiner Altstadt, ein paar Geschäfte und Kneipen)
- Klettern am Hohenstein oder am Ith
- Ausflug zum Steinhuder Meer (großer Binnensee mit Wassersport, Baden etc.)
- Hameln (historische Stadt)
