    Description

We live on a lifestyle block a few minutes from town in the heart of the Wairarapa. We grow lots of fruit and have abundant vege gardens. There are sheep, chickens and two lovely dogs: Willow and Ninja.

We are working on converting the land to a Food Forrest and need assistance outdoors and inside managing the home. We have a large modern and comfortable home with all amenities.

We are a husband and wife with three children, two who have left home. So just one teenager in the home. You will have a private space away from the home where in your down time you can relax and unwind. There is a river nearby and plenty of walks to do.

We are a typical kiwi family. And would welcome inclusion into our family and home whilst the person is with us. We are very focused on living sustainable and try to eat and live off our land. We make all our own preserves and fermented foods and live a homesteading lifestyle. Denise is an amazing cook so can help teach cooking and preserving skills. Staying with us you will also learn about growing for food purposes.

  • Help

    Help

General gardening skills (clean up, plant, maintaining), general housekeeping skills (cleaning, washing mopping etc). General animal skills (feeding chicken and sheep, walking dog). The assistance we need is not specialised but rather quite general. Getting this assistance will free up our time to do skilled work. If there are travellers with building skills that would be amazing but not necessary. Our daughter is a budding artist so any artistic tutoring would be also valuable to us.
