Helpers are welcome to enjoy any part of the half acre property to relax, do other work, use the internet, meditate, play music, exercise or whatever helps them maintain their own daily balance.

The waterfront is a quick 5 minute walk and is a great place to spend time and meet locals. A bicycle will be provided to get around. There is also a bus system, but it’s about a 3km walk.

Weekend excursions are optional, but include hiking, biking , van camping , visit nearby downs, and many other nature oriented excursions. Typically we’ll go to the main Portland farmers market every Saturday morning. As venues open up there will be more opportunities in the city as well.

Vancouver is a smaller city vibe next to a vibrant culturally rich city, Portland. Both cities have historic sites such as Pittock Mansion and Fort Vancouver. Portland is known for its garden and is known as “Rose City”, so don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.

    The house is:
    Minutes walk to river beach
    10 minute drive to airport
    3km - nearest organic market
    2.5km - coffee shop
    6km - Vancouver waterfront center
    8km - Portland
1 hour drive to Hood River
~2 hours to Hood mountain, Mt St Helen, the Pacific Ocean

-access to a paddleboard and a kayak
-Garage with range of power and manual tools/ space for crafting
