Description
We live on 20 acres of land with views out to the Pacific Ocean about 2 hours north of Auckland. We have a tropical food forest, vegetable plots, many fruit and nut trees. We overlook and are neighbored by native bush. We attempt to garden as organically and sustainably as possible. We have a vegan household and try to produce much of our own fruit and vegetables. We both work at home most of the time. Our home is 10 minutes from the local village and about 10-15 minutes from several glorious beaches.

Toby was born in Southland Aotearoa New Zealand, and Susan is originally from the UK and migrated to New Zealand nearly 20 years ago. Both know the local culture and are knowledgeable about most things New Zealand in terms of travel and society. Although they both have essential work at home office type jobs Toby has trained in bio-dynamic and organic gardening and Susan was a local rural midwife for many years before she became an academic. The local area is steeped in Maori early Scottish settler history. We can share the many activities in this area has to offer including visits to caves, museums, waterfalls and many walks.
