My girlfriend and I were in search of a little bike getaway from Montreal and we fell in perfect hands when we decided to head to that small community north of wakefield. It’s inhabited by lovely and giving humans who will gladely teach you about plants, carpentery and their ways of life. We stayed for a week and had a blast doing a wide variety

We highly recommend the experience and definitely are planing to visit again.

Pauline came to help us in early April and was very keen to learn and work hard. She loved working outside, the cold didn't stop her enthusiams and engagement. She was our main caretaker of the newly received chicken eggs and took care of breeding phase. Pauline is a very clear communicator and fun to have around! We shared good laughs and deep

These two weeks spent in Anam Fiain were magical. Alexandra, Lester and Gareth are souls filled with love, joy and kindness. I so enjoyed living with you, laughing and sharing together. These moments will remain marked in me.
My stay went by so quickly, no two days were the same, between construction projects, woodworking, helping the neighbors,

It's hard to put into words this experience in just a short paragraph but ill try my best to give it justice. I'll say this right off the bat, if you're debating coming here, just know that you're extremely lucky if you find yourself amongst Alexandra, Lester, Gareth, Jess and their community. They are the kindest warmest open hearted people I
… read more have met. Just to be amongst them has been healing and I have felt so supported, loved and safe. I feel extremely blessed to have been invited to spend a week here even though it was their off season. I'm honored to have been their first ever workaway! All I know is these are the kind of humans I want to surround myself with and I already want to come back in the spring/summer to help out with more of their projects.
I mostly worked with Lester and he is a wonderful teacher/mentor. Was very patient and encouraging as I learned and helped with building a shelf for the kitchen and another smaller shelf for personal use. I also got to help with finishing the walls of the community hall. Working with them was not only fun but I got to learn a lot and grow my confidence with using new tools.
Im grateful for all of our soul nourishing conversations, for our cross country ski ride around your beautiful property, relaxing in the sauna. For Alexandra taking me on my day off to have a really fun filled day discovering Wakefield and the locals. I even got to participate in one of the most exhilarating things I've ever experienced: square dancing!!! Straight serotonin to my brain haha.
Alex & Lester always ensured that all of my needs were met. All of the food was mostly locally sourced from neighborhood farms and they are both incredible cooks!
It's been a very special week thanks to these lovely humans that feel like family and I'm so excited to see you all very soon 🫂💜💫You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

It was a wonderful experience for us all to have Helen stay in our community for a week. She brought a full human presence that enriched all of our lives. Helen was fully engaged with the all the tasks she completed and carried out those tasks with good humour and curiosity. Helen brings a big heart to how she lives and this is a quality that
