    Description

Hello! We are a non-profit organisation and we are trying to make a difference in this world.
The main priority of our shelter is the rescue, rehabilitation and finding loving homes for the dogs in street situation or abuse.
There are 120+ amazing and beautiful dogs of all shapes and sizes.
In the last two years more then 150 dogs were adopted and flu to Canada to their loving homes.

We have 2 paid full-time workers and 1 volunteer-manager of the shelter. Basically you will help them with everything they do: cleaning (including the poo), cooking and giving food and medicine to the dogs, washing them and helping bring them to the vet, walk them and give them love and attention that they really need.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

It's a great opportunity to learn a lot about dog behavior, diseases and medical care.
We have 2 mexican workers so It's a good chance to practice your Spanish with the locals and learn more about their tradition and culture.

Moreover we are frequently visited by tourist volunteers from different parts of the world. It would be great if you could exchange your cultural perspective with theirs.

Next to our guesthouse you will find a lot of local restaurants with authentic mexican food like tlayudas, tacos, chilaquiles and mucho mucho mas.

We are located in a one of the most beautiful coastal city in Oaxaca, with many different beaches and incredible sunsets. Our volunteers during their free time can explore neighbouring towns, socialize with locals, learn the culture, and traditions, as well as activities like boat trips, kayaking, surfing, snorkelling, hiking and exploring wildlife watching - birds, whales, dolphins, turtles etc as well as vibrant night life and a huge surfing community.
