    Description

Located 6 hours by train from VARANASI and closer to Nepal/Thailand as well, ideal for backpackers looking for an authentic Indian experience.
Welcome to our School, where we are dedicated to empowering young minds and embracing cultural richness in the vibrant heart of rural India. At the School which is run by my parents full time, we do more than teach academics; we're crafting futures for underprivileged children. 08 hours by train from Varanasi , this place is for someone who believes in raw and authentic experiences. Accommodation and food is probably the best any workaway has ever offered.

As a volunteer at the School, you'll have the opportunity to transform lives, playing a pivotal role in shaping the futures of children eager for knowledge and opportunity. You will be teaching languages such as English, French, Italian, Spanish and German, contributing to our diverse and holistic educational program. Your stay promises to be a spiritual and cultural journey, situated just 22 km from the serene Ganges River, where tranquility and the authentic spirit of India are more palpable than in the crowded sites of Varanasi.

Accommodation is provided in a picturesque home, a mere 10-minute journey from the school, hosted by welcoming locals (my parents), where comfort meets culture, and you'll be treated to amazing Indian cuisine. India's kaleidoscope of festivals ensures that your stay will be vibrant and eventful, with local traditions and national celebrations enriching each day. After two weeks of enriching teaching experience, join us for an unforgettable village excursion, where you'll immerse yourself in rural life, wander through lush orchards, and even have the option of an overnight stay for the full experience.

We are looking for passionate individuals eager to make a difference. Joining us at the school won't just change the lives of our students; it will enrich yours with unforgettable memories and experiences. Apply now to be a part of this transformative journey!

P.S. - I would be traveling most of the time, so you would be spending time with my parents who run the school full time. I am a backpacker and have traveled to South America, etc. (The DP is from Volcano Villarica, Chile), so I understand the backpacker life. Hence, I joined this platform to enable people to travel. I used Workaway while traveling, and I'm excited to extend this spirit of travel and exchange to you as our Workaway guest.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Local sightseeing, Ganges visit, farm tours. Mango orchard overnight stays.
How to get here - Fly into New Delhi or Calcutta if flying in from South Asia, then take a flight to Patna and then a train to Begusarai or Barauni. Recommended to book it in advance because train tickets are not available easily. Routine here is pretty chilled out. 4-5 hours in the morning at the school and then whole day chilling and roaming around and meeting different people if you wish. Unlike European cultures, we want you to create your own routine by understanding the system and feel more free.
I myself would be travelling most of the time but my parents are there full time to host you and show you around.
