Description
Lend a hand and join in to build up a place for a community in Franconia, the North of Bavaria. I'm Christine, I work part-time as a social worker but also work freelance. A while ago I took over my parents' farm and now I am in the process of designing a place for a community to come together.
I would like to remodel the house, create a permaculture garden and create a place for a community. If you enjoy being in the countryside and helping with everyday tasks, please come and spend some time here.
The house is quite old. It has its quirks but also its charms. There is a big kitchen and a few rooms to sleep in. The place is in the north of Bavaria. It's a small village with 120 inhabitants, where everyone knows everyone else. There are many festivals in the vicinity, so you can learn something about the way of life here in the area. The nature is beautiful and invites you to go hiking. The Rhön nature reserve is not far away.
Your help time per day will be 4 hours in every day tasks such as maintanance, garden help or upcycling. Sunday is free. Some of the help can be done very well together. But there are also jobs, where I would like you to do them alone, so that I can take care of something else. Normally, we start with breakfast at 8.00 h, have lunch around 12.00 h and dinner at 19.00 h. You can stay at least 3 days up to as long as you want till the beginning of September.
If you are interested in coming here, it's best if we talk by video phone beforehand. That way we can clarify all open questions.Types of help and learning opportunities

Often the neighbours step the yard. They like meeting foreign people and you will get to know them soon.
I look forward to exchanging ideas with you. I worked as a social worker in London England for over 7 years. This time has brought me an incredible amount. So I am looking forward to meeting new people. It would be nice if we could take turns cooking, so I get to know new recipes.Help

Accommodation
There is a room with a day bed, table and small cupboard which I have provided for workawayers, but there are more rooms in the house which I could make available. Of course there is a bathroom. A washing machine is also in the house.
What else ...
In your free time you take one of the bicycles discover the nature around here. Also there are daily buses from the village to Bad Neustadt/Saale. But be aware there are not running Sundays. I have to shop for sure you can join me and visit the city Bad Neustadt/Saale or Mellrichstadt.
