    Description

    Hello Friends,

We are located in the beautiful mountains of the Cretan countryside and have been running a family handmade ceramics workshop for over 40 years.

Our studio needs help all year round with various creative and fun activities. We are looking for positive and passionate people that are interested in learning new skill, helping in everyday upkeep tasks for our workshop and interested in experiencing Greece as a true local.

Our process for creating ceramics is mainly done with plaster moulds through casting original handmade designed models inspired by Ancient Greek items. We will provide full guidance and training for all our projects and look forward to connecting with people from around the world and sharing our love for our home and natural environments.

The house is large and comfortable, built over 90 years ago and renovated over the past four decades, it is built of stone and kept in a modern condition. In the winter we use wood heating, a fireplace and partly electric. There is a detached spacious private guest room and a modern beautiful kitchen and bathroom that is shared with us. We expect people to be clean and respectful and to take part in the daily chores of life.

The location of the studio is one hour from the City Chania in the south west part Crete. Virtually untouched by tourism the people here are so friendly, happy and welcoming to visitors. The natural setting of the area is breathtaking and worth exploring. With unlimited trails, marked and unmarked, Gorges and a large pebble beach that shores the Ionian Sea. Getting to the city for sightseeing for the Venetian Old Town of Chania and some of the most amazing beaches like "Elafonisi", "Seitan Limania" and "Falasarna" is also available easily by bus and by car with us as we regularly travel to places each week.

We look forward to speaking with you soon!
