    Description

I'm a single woman with a small hobby farm of goats, chickens, ducks and geese. I do also have 3 large dogs.

I live in a 3/4 piece of property right on the ocean. I live near a small community called Musquodoboit harbour. I'm about 15 minutes away from Martinique Beach, which is the longest beach in Nova Scotia, and a very popular surf spot all year round.

There are plenty of hiking trails anywhere from 3-10 minutes away, and many more the further out you go.

It's a good place to feel out how you would like to try to detach from the bigger cities and how you can start your own homestead in hopes of creating your own one day.
Or maybe you already know the ins and outs of homesteading and you want somewhere to just relax, detach and enjoy being in a smaller community.

    *Update*
I would just like to put this option out there for whoever might be interested. In mid March I will be going away for 8 weeks, and will be back mid May. What I would hope for is someone to come stay at my house from the beginning of March till after I get back. You wouldn't need to do any projects around the house if you didn't want, just do the daily care of the animals I do have, Usually around half hour a day, and can be a couple hours during just to keep things running.
Would also like if someone would be able to do the same for 2 weeks at the end of December into January. No help required, just make sure the animals are alive and fed.

If that is something anyone might be interested in please feel free to reach out!!

I would just like some help around the place, just so I can have some time off sometimes, or be able to take a trip away and have the homestead taken care of.

All the animals need to make sure they have food and water daily. The coops and barn need to be cleaned on condition, and the ducks free roam, so they would need to be opened and closed everyday.

I do also have some projects around the house that needs to be done, like installing a shower, putting up trim, replacing flooring, ect. So being handy will also help.
There is obviously always farm projects that can be done as well, like fixing the fence, or coops, ect.

On the days I'm away just regular house maintenance would need to be done. Like lawn care, cleaning the house, getting farm feed, ect.

I have a 3 bedroom house. There is a room on the second floor with a shared bathroom with myself.
I have a 3rd bedroom in the basement with its own bathroom and sitting area. It does need to have some trim work done, a little bathroom maintenance and odds and ends.
The choice is yours to make.

Food/ingredients will be provided, it would be up to the individual to prepare them most of the time for themself. I do work full time, and don't have a lot of time to cook full meals every evening.
