    Hey,
I‘m Mirja, 29 years old, anesthesiologist and in my free time cycling/hiking/nature lover. I live with my sheltie Linus in a 2-room-apartment in Berlin. Due to my unregular working hours, I need help to care for Linus. Are you up for exploring Berlin while caring for a dog?

I have travelled and lived abroad a lot myself (lived in Ecuador, Sweden and Brazil for volunteer services, study and internships). I speak English, Swedish, Portuguese, some French and some Spanish are hidden in a dark corner of my brain, would enjoy to practice languages together. I also have a lot of experience with hosting, living in shared flats and sharing spaces in general.
I have had workawayers staying for shorter periods in the past and would love to find a longterm agreement. Ideally, we‘d live together as flat mates and share life for a longer time. If you could work from home, this might be a good place for you :)

Linus is a lively, 1 year old sheltie. Being in his teenage years (well, a bit shorter for dogs ;)), he‘s bursting with energy to explore, run and play. At home he loves to cuddle on the couch, chew on his toys or just chill & sleep. Unfortunately, he has troubles to stay alone at home, so I avoid leaving him alone. I would need you to care for Linus while I‘m working, that would mean being home, walking him once or twice a day, simply being another partner in the pack ;)
My working times are not regular, so I might also ask you to care for him in the evenings or overnight. Of course you should have enough time for yourself, explore the city and whatever you want to do in Berlin. If caring for a dog rather is fun for you than an effort, this could be a good match :-) Experience with dogs would be helpful, reliability and a calm patient soul :-)

You would have a private 14 sqm room. It‘s very calm with a view to the green backyard. There is basic furniture (1,40 bed, couch, table), depending on your wishes and the length of your stay we can arrange more. You would share kitchen and bathroom with me and you‘re welcome to use the balcony at my room when I‘m not home.
I cannot provide for regular meals because my own eating times vary a lot, but I‘m happy to cook and eat together when there’s time. I eat vegetarian, but I don’t mind if you eat meat.

Well, Berlin offers almost unlimited opportunities, I guess that’s partly why you’re coming here :) The area around the flat is nice, lively and multicultural, many cafes, restaurants, little shops. There is a canal just 100 m away where you can have nice walks, enjoy a beer on summer evenings and continue to a big park & lake (~25 min walking distance, you can swim there! :)) It‘s also easy to take you everywhere else in the city, public transfer is close and well-connected. If you come to Berlin for partying, thats great of course, but I would ask you to avoid noise at home and be responsible (no drugs at home please, no smoking).
