    Description

Please request with basic easy english by telling the time you would like to participate!

We are a laid back hostel for backpackers on a wonderful island called Don Det. Don Det is one of the 4000 Island in the Mekong River. Our property is right in front of the river with a private beach, restaurant and bar.

Since covid, we just reopened few months ago and at the moment its only me and my wife working here and an additional cleaner

We are ideally looking for someone who is social to hang out with the guests at the beach, organise any fun activities for other guests like pub quizzes, card or board games, or even taking them to many local festivals happening in the quint river island village of Don Det. If you have other skills in managing and boosting our social media presence, documenting the life here, arts and crafts skills to suggest improvement in the general aesthetic of the place, or systems to improve the environmental sustainability of our family guesthouse will be very much appreciated.

You will experience the village life living with a local family in this river island. You will see kids in the river all day catching fish, collecting weed or just playing around, the canoes that crosses the river, the spiritual and cultural aspect of life through its many local festivals. There are many backpackers and bars, restaurants for a very lively night life, but you can also chose to stay in the quiet side of the island and enjoy being with the nature. Here at our family run hostel you get to get off the tourist track, relax and still socialize with other travelers!

The island is small so you can walk or cycle everywhere, swim loads, enjoy good food, explore waterfalls, watch beautiful sun rise and sun set and other stunning views.
