    Description

Our hostel here in El Bolsón is its own little paradise, and what surrounds us is one of nature´s most spectacular playgrounds. Many of the travelers that come through, expecting to stay for only a couple of days, extend their stay for weeks, falling in love with this unique valley, and exploring the endless opportunities of hiking in the surrounding mountains. We are a family owned an run establishment, each of us sharing in all of the tasks involved to keep the hostel clean and organized, but we are needing some helping hands.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Anyone who has ever stayed in a hostel knows that the cultural exchange has no limits. Here our family is a mix of Argentinians, Germans, and North Americans, and the languages are always hopping around from one to the next (though it is primarily Spanish). It is a treat for us to share our home, and interexchange knowledge, experiences, languages, and cultures.

    Help

Here on our property we have an expansive garden that is always in need of a helping hand. The buildings, also, are always asking for some loving maintenance. This place is our home, and we are always working to make it even more beautiful. We hope that those that come to help us will feel equally at home, and inspired to make the place even lovelier.
The hostel has opened it´s doors for a new season as of October, and the many tasks to keep it up and running have us hoping that some lovely help will soon arrive! Lots of cleaning and general maintainence. We will be needing help in the reception, in which case it would be handy to speak some Spanish, but may not be fundamental.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

In return for you help, we offer accommodations either in a shared dorm, or, as the weather warms up, in a tent (we have tents here to lend), and breakfast (delicious whole wheat homemade bread and jams, cereals, and coffee/tea/mate).

    What else ...

Though we are about 5 kms out of town, the public transportation pases about every hour, and the taxis are not too expensive to get to the center and to the nearby trailheads. The walk to town on the back roads is beautiful, and takes about 40 mins. It´s easy enough to come and go from here, but many volunteers/guests choose to spend time here in the garden or at the little river beach here on the property.
