    Description

    Females only No smokers please.
Hello, I have a small house and olive grove in Puglia, Italy and will be looking a workawayers to come to help me with the land and some basic house diy like painting. later in November the olives need to be harvested. Spring the trees need to be pruned.

I am an interiors and architectural photographer who enjoys travelling, being creative, time beside the sea and my dogs. I've wanted to buy in Italy for many years and finally last year found something I could afford in a really beautiful area.

The house is simple, rustic with some works planned for this spring/summer 2023 to update the interior, although it is liveable in summer time it is basic and currently there is no heating for winter so that's next on the list..I will only want help in the spring and summer months so this doesn't affect workawayers. You will need your own or rental car/scooter or bicycle. All of these can be hired ion the local area.

The house is rural but with a few other neighbours along the no through road /lane. The main road that take you to lots of nearby villages and towns is 1 minute away. The nearest small town is 5 minutes away in the car and then there are loads of larger towns with 10-15 minutes drive. The sea is 25 mins away on the Adriatic side and 35 mins to the Ionian sea. Brindisi airport is 30 minutes away and Bari is 1 hour away. There are antique markets every Sunday in the closest towns if you are a vintage hunter or just enjoy a mooch you'll love that. All of the small towns have lots of live entertainment in the evenings that is free. Concerts and people enjoying the warm evenings every night in August with an endless list of good places to take a little apperativo and of course delicious food if that's your kind of thing.

In late spring I want to get the house painted. It’s a small single storey house so should be quite straight forward. .

You must really love dogs and be confident with them. I would prefer someone who is not a meat eater but that is not essential, I am a pescatrian so won't buy or cook any meat for anyone staying with me whilst I am there, if you want to cook it for yourself no problem but it won't be included in any food that I provide.

I am not a party goer and fairly early to bed and awake early. I like my house to be clean and tidy, the kitchen and bathroom espcially. I think heavy drinkers or party animals will not be a good fit. You will be responsible for cleaning your own room and also pitch in to the clean up the communal spaces. Basically take your turn to clean up the kitchen and bathroom and sweep up. There's not much as it's small.

females only. I will be there in the house too and it is small.
There are 2 bedrooms and one bathroom.

If you have tree pruning experience or land maintenance experience that would also be really useful. I enjoy being around creatives and love to be with people who see solutions as opposed to problems :-)

List of works to be done:
Finish off the outside kitchen (sink and pizza oven already in situ)
    General land maintenance/gardening
Olive tree/fruit/nut tree pruning. approx 70 trees.
Painting outside of house, single story Lamia style property.
Block work seating with shade pergola.

This is a very lovely part of the world to spend time. Lots to do in your spare time and loads to explore. If you like nature and the sea there are endless beaches and coves, kite surfing is popular near Ostuni, 30 minutes to this beach. Great food in the surrounding towns, outside living in a simple house. If you want to learn Italian you be fully immersed here. The architecture is beautiful and I am surrounded by olive groves. Learn about the Italian countryside ways, the old methods. Organic methods only at my place and perhaps you want to learn about having an olive grove and experience this before you buy your own.

The house is just under 70sqm with a long shaded terrace at the front. You will have your own bedroom which is accessed via a communal living room, I'll be sleeping on the mezzanine in that room. Shared bathroom with shower. Wifi is good via starlink.
I am a pescatarian but mostly cook vegetarian food, fish once a week. You can eat with me, as in that I cook - simple Italian food or if you want to cook your own food you will be welcome to do so and cooking your own meat is not a problem. I'm hoping to get the pizza oven going, not tried it yet! Use of the washing machine.
