They will learn about cooking, growing vegetables ecologically, get to know the typical nature in the environment: birds, beaver, deer etc. Luc is a garden ranger which means he helps people to organise their garden as nature friendly as possible. They could also learn about how to handle rescue dogs in a gentle way.

  • Help

    Help

There are 3 dogs (to walk, if you want, in your free time) 2 chickens, 2 horses and 2 cats to look after. The stables and the field have to be cleaned, and there is a garden and vegetable garden to be kept. There is work outside in the garden and fields all year. Of course we assume that everybody helps cleaning the dishes, setting the table, keeping the rooms tidy and clean. (mucky shoes in the garage and inside clean shoes or slippers)

They could have a bedroom and a separate room on the first floor. The bathroom will have to be shared and the kitchen as well. In the evenings they could cook the meal together with Luc and we could all have our meal together.

    What else ...

We live in a very nice agricultural and nature reserve area where it is excellent to hike or cycle. You may meet the king fisher, deer, or even some beavers on your trips. On walking distance to our house, you can fish. We live near the border of the Netherlands and Germany. Aachen, Maastricht, Eindhoven, Roermond, Antwerpen and Brussels are all worth a trip. A bit further are Gent, Brugge and Amsterdam. We can drop you at a bus station to start your city trips if you want. You can go swimming in the summer at about 5 km away from our home. If you like board games, that´s a pro! Experienced riders may go horse-riding.
Karin is up early and prefers the quiet at night time.
