  • Description

    Description

We're a close-knit, fun-loving, athletic family of 5 living in the hilly Burgundy countryside surrounded by cows, horses, and crop fields. We work with honeybees, harvesting ethical and eco-responsible organic honey. We're mostly looking for interesting cultural exchanges with people around the world who'd like to teach us English, share dinner recipes, and help with the two younger girls, ages 12 and 10, as well as our two adorable alley cats and our sweet little Australian shepherd. In exchange we're happy to introduce you to the world of beekeeping, dairy farming, chicken keeping, and more.

We can offer volunteers a true French country life experience as part of a family. We're happy to speak French with you and take you with us to our friends' farms to get fresh fruits, vegetables, and milk. You can also accompany us as we work with our 50 beehives in beautiful Burgundy settings, and help take care of our egg-laying chickens. We're not far from the medieval cities of Sens and Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, both of which have impressive historical sites worth visiting, like ancient fortifications and a spectacular 13th century cathedral.
