    Description

I'm a single parent. I share custody of my kid. I have a smaller dog, her name is Claudia, she's about 23 pounds. She's a rescue dog. I have a fully enclosed back and front yard. She has 24/7 access to the backyard through the garage. When I fly anywhere I need someone to take care of her. I'd like for someone to look after my place and shovel snow etc in the winter, cut grass in the summer. I have a snow blower. My house is conveniently located to downtown and many other amenities.

My house is old, built in 1950. It has mature trees and a quaint interior. It's within walking distance to many of the downtown restaurants as well as grocery stores, arena, theatre, outdoor rink in the winter. There's a trail along the creek nearby as well as several parks. Basically it's close to most of what Cranbrook has to offer culturally.

    Help

Claudia needs feeding twice per day, as well as a daily walk. If it snows the sidewalk and driveway will need clearing. My kid also has a small fish tank that needs minimal care. The pilot light for my boiler rarely goes out, but when it does, it's critical that it's relit within 12 hours when temperatures get well below zero. Mail collection. Tidy and clean up after yourself.

    Accommodation

There are 3 bedrooms. You can stay in either of the larger bedrooms while I'm away. If I'm home I'll be upstairs so I'm on the same floor as my kid's room. The downstairs bedroom has a bathroom with shower. There's a laundry room, exercise equipment, and a fully stocked kitchen. We can discuss food if we connect. My freezer and pantry are usually well stocked with various food items. I usually have to cook for myself and my daughter, you're welcome to have what we have, otherwise I can provide ingredients for your liking and cooking. You might be responsible to get some of your own food if I'm away. Safeway is a 5mins walk from my doorstep.

    What else ...

For the most part I'd appreciate a quiet, clean, and tidy person. Someone who is self sufficient and isn't going to rely on me a whole lot. I would appreciate that we maintain clear expectations of each other and length of stay. I don't want that part to become awkward. If you can provide a recent driver's abstract and valid license there may be an opportunity for you to use my vehicle while I'm away. I can definitely drive you places when I'm home. If the weather is favorable I have bikes. Full disclosure I have a security camera on the front and back of my house. None inside. I will likely ask my neighbor to let me know if anything unusual appears to be happening. I don't drink. No smoking in the house. I have a landline for local calls only if you wish to use it.

This really depends on how your pet gets along with my own. For the most part my dog is good. She can be a little weary of bigger dogs and definitely doesn't like high energy big dogs that play rough. She's lived with a cat most of her life. She will mostly ignore them unless your cat is aggressive towards dogs.
