    * About Us *

    I've been involved in the gardening/food-growing world for 20+ years and am happy to share what I've learned. I also have a website where I teach people how to grow their own organic, nutrient-dense food.

    My partner is originally from Mexico and she gets high-quality cacao beans directly from organic farmers there. She roasts the beans and makes drinking chocolate "elixirs," which she sells online and in cafes.

    We live here with our 4-year-old daughters, who are identical twins. We're fairly busy with work and the kids, so we don't have all that much time to socialize, which means a stay at our place is best for people who are happy spending some time by themselves.

    Feel free to ask us any questions you have.

    * Accommodation *

    I go to Toronto every other week (usually Sundays), so I could pick you up there (and drop you back off on another Sunday).

    Your stay will be outdoors in a nice canvas tent with a mattress and bedding.

    You can spread out your work hours however you like.

    Wifi is open whenever you need it.

    * Our Property *

    We moved to this quiet property on the Bruce Peninsula in 2021.

    We're directly on the Bruce Trail, surrounded by a magical forest and just a short, 3-minute walk to a breathtaking cliff-top view of Georgian Bay (it's a 1-hour hike down to the rocky shoreline).

    We're in Purple Valley, between Wiarton & Lion’s Head.

    We live in the countryside and work mostly from home, so most of your time will be spent here.

    We try to head to the beach for a few hours once a week, but mostly, we spend our time at home, drinking coffee and hot chocolate and enjoying the view :)

    Phil is gradually designing and building vegetable gardens. There may be small construction projects, too.

    And there are plenty of odds and ends: bicycle maintenance, lawn mower maintenance, or feel free to offer other skills.

    You can choose your work hours throughout the day and week.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

    For now, we only have camping available. It's a great property for camping! We'll give you a tent with a mattress and bedding or you can use your own tent/vehicle.

    As for food, we can eat all meals together or you can eat some meals on your own - whatever is best for you. We're happy to accommodate dietary requirements.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

    We are very rural, so the main activities around here are hiking, relaxing in nature, meditating, and reading a lot of books!

    There's no public transportation, but we drive to town a couple of times a week. And Phil drives to Toronto every other Sunday, so he can pick you up and drop you off in Toronto or at Pearson Airport or anywhere else nearby.
