    Description

We are Nele and Sebastiaan, young parents living in Brussels with two little girls (1 and 3 year). We are looking for someone to help with the kids (taking them from school, babysit from time to time). We both work in architecture, me as a professor at University, Sebastiaan as an architect with his own office. We live in a recently renovated townhouse with little garden. Preferably we would like to find someone french-speaking who could stay at least for 3 months, so the girls can pick up the language. We ourselves are dutchspeaking (but apart from Dutch, French and English I also speak Italian and a little German). Having lived in Paris, London and Rome ourselves, we love cultural exchanges, and would be very happy to welcome you in our home.

We live in Brussels, in the centre of Molenbeek. It is a very vibrant and multicultural area, which is very well connected by public transport to the whole of Brussels. Brussels in itself is the perfect place to meet people from around the world. With the European institutions hosted in the city, there are many international people coming here to work. We ourselves have a very mixed group of friends and speak Dutch, French and English on a daily basis. We could practice one of these languages with you, if you like.

We are looking for someone to take the kids from school, play with them until we are home from work, and babysit from time to time in the evenings (or when they are ill and need to stay home from daycare or school). They are only one and three years old, so we look for someone who is familiar with taking care of little kids.

    Accommodation

We live in a recently renovated townhouse with a small garden. It is a really large house (type maison de maitre) with a living room and kitchen on the ground floor, office and bathroom on the first, and bedrooms on the second and third floor. You would have your own spacious bedroom on the third floor with your own toilet and sink and even a small kitchenette. There is a fast internet connection in the room as well. This all would give you enough privacy, while also sharing the house with us. Pocket money can also be discussed.

    What else ...

Both with a full-time job, we live an active life, enjoying our time off in the weekend. We love spending time with family and friends; going to parks and playgrounds; visiting exhibitions; cooking nice meals with friends; drinking a glass of wine in the evening. We could give you a lot of information on what to do in the city, but also what to see in Belgium more largely. Don't hesitate to also express your wishes and interests to us.
