Description
We have recently purchased 33 acres on the magical Island of Cortes. Nestled in a magical wooded forest we plan to build a series of geodesic domes that will be home to a healing retreat center. We are looking to open the doors in the spring of 2026 and are inviting people (single or couple) to get involved in the first phase of building. This will include constructing a wood framed carport/workshop/wood storage area where the materials for the geodesic domes can be housed.
If you love being in nature surrounded by the stunning beauty of the west coast of B.C. and have any carpentry skills, we would love to hear from you. We ask for 5 days a week with 5 hours a day. Any time spent beyond these hours will be reimbursed with an hourly wage. There are many perks to this arrangement as you will get to see some of the most beautiful coastline in B.C. Cortes Island is a spectacular place with many trails, unique beaches to explore and a very connected sense of community.
Looking forward to connecting soon.

We have an incredible natural world at our doorsteps. There are plenty of trails, hikes, beaches, and rivers to explore. We love to share in all things plant medicines and generally connect with those who are seeking a healing lifestyle.
Help
Our perfect fit would be those who have a love for the natural world and are interested to learn more about plant-based healing. We invite those who have a desire to eat organic food and LOVE TO COOK. We are very motivated people and tend to keep pretty active with projects around the house and yard.

Accommodation
The accommodation is to be determined depending on the number of people we have. The house has basic amenities as well there is a cabin and RV trailer on site.
What else ...
Cortes Island is as rich in community as it is in wilderness. At local community gatherings in Mansons Landing, Whaletown, and Squirrel Cove, artisans sell their wares and create connections. Foodies can choose from comfort food to mouth-watering West Coast fusion restaurants that rank among the best on the coast. And local festivals offer a chance for visitors to interact with the colour and flair that make this island remarkable.

It was a very good time and I felt almost like being a family member! Thank you Tina for making me feel home and taking me to the putlocks!
During the time I helped organize the garden or parts of the house, cook for family dinners or other things that been helpful.
