Description
Hi, we are Aurelie and Yvonick we're french and we live in Alsace, close to the Swiss and German borders. We are 26 and 30 years old living with our dog Sam and the neighbour's cat (His true name is Rocky but we call him Mirou and he is very often visiting us and loves our house). We live in Hegenheim, a small village but close to Basel.
We're a pretty active couple, we both play volleyball, we love having big walks with the dog in the forest, gardening, cooking and also playing board games and Aurelie is doing yoga too.
We moved a year ago in a house with a big garden and we started this spring to create a vegetable garden. We also have two terraces where you can enjoy having a nice meal in the sun in the garden.
Our dog Sam is a rescued dog that spent a year in a shelter before arriving in our family. Is a kind medium dog, he loves to be cuddle, and play with all of his toys, but he's stressed when he is alone !
The cat comes everyday to our house, he's pretty independant eventhough he likes to have cuddles too! (sometimes aha).
We are looking for workawayers to keep our dog, house and take care of the garden during our holidays. This year we will be off from the 20th of june to 29 th of june and from 15 th of september to 4 th of october. Ideal scenario would be that workawayers arrive few days before to be used to the house and share some time together before leaving and we're flexible for the date of departure :).
Apart from that, you can take time to visit the surroundings, Basel is only 15-20 min biking from our house and we can provide the bikes. From there (or from Saint louis a french city near Hegenheim too) you can take trains that can bring you to many places in Switzerland, Germany or France. You'll be able to visit as well as bigger cities like Zurich or Strasbourg or visit nature as we are closed to the Vosges mountain, Balck Forest or even the Swiss Alps.
PS: We approximately eat meat once a week, rest of the time we eat vegeterian but we ca easily adapt to a full vegeterian diet.

It'll be a pleasure to share french culture, have nice dinners together before and/or after our holidays. Share about gardening if you're interesting in and share our daily life with you.
Help
We would ask to do a walk per day with Sam, around 1hour. We're training him to travel by train so if you want to take him with you for a day trip it should also be possible. He's easy to walk, mostly wants to play with other dogs when he sees them. Also taking care of his basic needs: food/water etc. If you want to leave the house without him few hours it's also ok but not 12 hours in a row neither, he still has some stress of being left alone from his past life in a shelter, it's improving but we don't want him to stress too much.
Regarding the gardening taks, we would ask you to water the vegetable garden, indoor plants and maybe cut the grass if needed.

Accommodation
Apart from our bedroom, we have two offices where there is a sofa bed in both of them, meaning that you can have your own room during your stay. You can use the entire house.
