    Description

We are a family of six people - two adults and four kids born between 2017 and 2023.

If anyone is interested in helping us out in every day life with regard to taking care of the kids and the household, feel free to contact us. I think about two hours of work per day would be fair in exchange for bed and food - that is 14 hours per full week that you are here and flexible whether you want to do more hours one day and fewer the next. Your jobs in this scenario would be some general cleaning (we never get on top of things here) and playing with the kids for a bit. We speak English with the kids by the way, so they grow up bilingual. Minimum of one week per stay, please and only single travellers.

We live in Sudheim, a village near Northeim, which is close to Göttingen in lower Saxony, Germany. You can get here by train and bus and we have a beautiful countryside for walking/hiking. If you come by car, it is not far to the Harz mountains and the Solling. If you want to stay for more than two months, we could even arrange for you to have a car to use (for three hours of work extra per week and at your own fuel costs).

If you decide to send us a message, please make sure that it is obvious that you have read this text. A generic message is fine, but please add a sentence or two that shows you're aware of what would be awaiting you here.

    Non-smokers only, please!

On a by note: Sometimes we are looking for people who can take care of our cat, chickens and garden while we are on holidays (see first sentence for when - maybe also another week in October, but not sure yet). So you would be living rent free but taking care of and paying for your own meals in exchange for about 10-15 minutes of work per day. During this time, there could be more than one person here. Next this might be in the second half of October, but I will update here once I know for sure.

You can get here by bus which runs hourly on weekdays. However, buses stop running around 7 or 8 pm, so a bit tricky if you're planning on spending your nights partying. We're rather the quiet early to bed, early to rise types...
