Description
We are an Australian couple who have been living in Europe for 4 years and have settled in Puglia in southern Italy. We bought our house and property in January 2021 - 3 acres of land that we want to develop along permaculture and regenerative agriculture principles. Our property had been abandoned for 12 years before we bought it and we have achieved a lot in the last 2 years but there is still plenty of work to do on the land and an extra set of strong hands would certainly help us to get various projects completed. We have a variety of fruit trees, olive trees and almond trees and vegetable gardens. There is still lots of land clearing, gardening and building of small structures to be done. We are currently restoring a small trullo on he property, We have 2 gorgeous Maremmano guardian dogs, 4 cats and a free ranging duck called Luigi.
We are non smokers and Ann is a vegetarian.
We live just outside Ceglie Messapica in the amazing Valle d'Itria in Puglia. The area is famous for the distinctive Trullo houses with cone shaped roofs, amazing local food and fantastic wine. There are many beautiful towns in the area rich in history and the Adriatic and Ionian coastlines are a 30 minute drive away.Types of help and learning opportunities
