Description
This is a non profit working finca in the green north of Tenerife. Our finca is located on 500m above sea level between the beautiful villages of Icod de los Vinos (10 min by bus) and Garachico (30 min by bus). Both villages are known for their historical buildings, while Garachico also offers different beautiful bathing facilities. The bus stop is only a 10-min. walk from the finca.
The finca has not been worked on for many years. So there is loads to do to make our dream of an ecological self-sustainable Finca come true. We have to create everything from scratch so we invite your helping hands to all kind of gardening, preparing the fields for planting, planting, creating a permaculture, refurbishing, general maintenance and many different kinds of DIY projects.

Our Finca is set in the middle of the rich beautiful vegetation of the northern and very green part of Tenerife. You can learn about the differences of cultivating at different climate zones the island offers and how to build up a Finca from scratch in an ecological way.
We are very international and offer to practise many different languages like german, english, spanisch, italian and french. But of course you can also learn about tipical canarian lifestyle since we are far from the tourist trails.
Apart from the historical villages of Icod de los Vinos and Garachico, the beautiful area of the Teno mountains is just around the corner. Here you can find a hugh variety of hiking trails, some of them just starting in walking distance of the Finca. So nature and hiking lovers can enjoy at the most.

Help at our beautiful finca in the north of Tenerife with all kind of gardening, preparing the fields for planting, planting, creating a permaculture, refurbishing, general maintenance and many different kinds of DIY projects.

Accommodation
For accomodation we provide a lovely and spacy, well equiped tent in our garden. The tent provides sleeping possibility for 4 people. Depending on demand it can be mixed (female/ male). It would be great if you could bring your sleeping bag while we provide sheets and pillows.
Our volunteers have their own lovely rustic inside kitchchen with all amenities at the common area, our main meeting point. We provide all the food you need to prepare yourself (or with other Workawayers) breakfast and dinner. Lunch we will eat/ prepare together. We just started our project but our garden already provides some greens, veggies and herbs to enjoy.
