Hi, I'm Rachel. I've always found energy in developing relationships, learning new skills, and exploring enticing places. I am a corporate human resources manager turned temporary explorer who plans to train as a therapist after taking this dedicated time to pause.

I have always had a strong openness to experience and I deeply value the exchange of knowledge, skills, and emotions that comes from situations where we are required to rely on one another. We are more similar than we may at first realize and our differences provide a beautiful space to learn.

I am interested in learning any language to be able to better connect to local people! The connections with people are, after all, the most important part of this exploration for me. I have an intermediate understanding of French and would love the opportunity to continue to develop this skill.

I've worked a number of odd jobs over the years - Everything from working in a restaurant (serving, cleaning, baking), caring for little ones in a daycare, and most recently working as a human resources manager overseeing the needs of a team of 250 people. While each job has been different, they all required a strong communication skills, being attuned to the needs of the "customer" and the ability to adapt to change quickly.

While my jobs have been more traditional, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and look forward to the opportunity to connect to the environment and do something a little different.

Something a little different - I have been volunteering as a Crisis Counselor here in the US, which continues to be an extremely rewarding experience and a great benefit as I plan to become a therapist in the future.

I am a lover of painting, writing, and meandering. I always seem to find the time for a good meal with friends and family, a few drinks, and a trip to a museum. Building connections with others is one of my greatest joys in life, so I approach each new opportunity with an open mind and genuine care. I look forward to connecting!
