I'm Maria, I'm 24 (almost 25), I'm Italian and soon I'll finish my Erasmus in Galicia, in Santiago de Compostela. I study at the university, in the last year of the three-year course in Sociology. In fact I have to take care of writing my thesis, and I'd like to do it during the workaway experience, during breaks! During this year I fell in love with Galicia, I think it's a magical place and where I feel at home. For this reason, when I finish my Erasmus at the end of June I would like to continue staying here, in its most rural part :)

I am a person in love with nature. When I'm in nature I feel connected to the deepest part of me, and this gives me so much happiness. I believe that nature is the most wonderful thing we have, and for this we must take care of it. Unfortunately humans seem to be forgetting this. I would like to be an example to bring other people closer to nature. Moreover, human beings are also nature, so I believe that every living being should be considered on the same level and with the same value.

Another thing that gives me joy is the relationship with others. Although I consider myself an introverted person, I have realized that I am happy when I am in relationships in which I am comfortable. I like having deep relationships, being able to talk about anything, exchanging opinions. All with respect and with the awareness that there are infinite ways of seeing the world and life.

Even if in my daily life I mostly deal with sedentary activities (studying, working on the PC), I really feel alive when I move and do manual work, even quite heavy ones. If these on top of that are in nature, then it's the perfect combination! I am willing and feel motivated to do any kind of work!

Sono Maria, ho 24 anni (quasi 25) , sono italiana e tra poco finirò il mio Erasmus in Galizia, a Santiago de Compostela. Studio all'università, all'ultimo anno della triennale in Sociologia. Infatti mi devo occupare di scrivere la mia tesi, e mi piacerebbe farlo durante l'esperienza workaway, nei momenti di pausa! Durante quest'anno mi sono innamorata della Galizia, credo che sia un posto magico e in cui mi sento a casa. Per questo, quando finirò il mio Erasmus a fine giugno vorrei continuare a stare qui, nella sua parte più rurale :)

Sono una persona innamorata della natura. Quando sono nella natura mi sento connessa alla parte di me più profonda, e ciò mi dà tantissima felicità. Credo che la natura sia ciò che di più meraviglioso abbiamo, e per questo dobbiamo prendercene cura. Purtroppo gli esseri umani sembra che se lo stiano dimenticando. Io vorrei essere un esempio per avvicinare anche altre persone alla natura. Oltretutto, gli esseri umani sono anch'essi natura, quindi credo che ogni essere vivente vada considerato sullo stesso piano e con lo stesso valore.

Un'altra cosa che mi dà gioia è la relazione con gli altri. Nonostante io mi ritenga una persona introversa, ho capito che sono felice quando ho delle relazioni in cui sto bene. Mi piace avere relazioni profonde, poter parlare di qualsiasi cosa, scambiarsi opinioni. Il tutto con rispetto e con la consapevolezza che esistono infiniti modi di vedere il mondo e la vita.

Anche se nella mia vita quotidiana mi occupo perlopiù di attività sedentarie (studiare, lavorare al pc), mi sento davvero viva quando mi muovo e faccio dei lavori manuali, anche abbastanza pesanti. Se questi per di più sono nella natura, allora è la combinazione perfetta! Sono disposta e mi sento motivata a fare qualsiasi tipo di lavoro!

De hecho, tengo que encargarme de escribir mi tesis, y me gustaría hacerlo durante la experiencia de trabajo, ¡durante los descansos! Durante este año me enamoré de Galicia, creo que es un lugar mágico y donde me siento como en casa. Soy una persona enamorada de la naturaleza. Cuando estoy en la naturaleza me siento conectada con lo más profundo de mí, y esto me da mucha felicidad. Creo que la naturaleza es lo más maravilloso que tenemos, y para ello debemos cuidarla. Desafortunadamente, los humanos parecen estar olvidándose de esto. Me gustaría ser un ejemplo para acercar a otras personas a la naturaleza. Además, el ser humano también es naturaleza, por lo que creo que todo ser vivo debe ser considerado en el mismo nivel y con el mismo valor.

Otra cosa que me da alegría es la relación con los demás. Aunque me considero una persona introvertida, me he dado cuenta de que soy feliz cuando estoy en relaciones en las que me siento cómoda. Me gusta tener relaciones profundas, poder hablar de cualquier cosa, intercambiar opiniones. Todo con respeto y con la conciencia de que hay infinitas formas de ver el mundo y la vida.

Aunque en mi vida diaria me ocupo principalmente de actividades sedentarias (estudiar, trabajar en la PC), realmente me siento viva cuando me muevo y hago trabajos manuales, incluso los bastante pesados. Si estos encima están en la naturaleza, ¡entonces es la combinación perfecta! Estoy dispuesta y me siento motivada para realizar cualquier tipo de trabajo!

EN:
All my skills, up to now, are concentrated in intellectual skills. In fact, after school, I took a course in User Experience Design and now I'm finishing my bachelor's degree in Sociology. This is why I'm quite good with technologies and social media, and I'm interested in all issues that have to do with society.
I haven't developed manual skills yet, but I really want to do it and what I'm looking for in the Workawayer experience is just that!

Tutte le mie skills, fino ad ora, si concentrano nelle skill intellettuali. Infatti, dopo la scuola, ho fatto un corso di User Experience Design e ora sto finendo la laurea triennale in Sociologia. Per questo me la cavo piuttosto bene con le tecnologie e con i social, e mi interessano tutti i temi che hanno a che vedere con la società.
Non ho ancora sviluppato skill manuali, ma ho molta voglia di farlo e quello che cerco nell'esperienza da Workawayer è proprio questo!

Todas mis habilidades, hasta ahora, se concentran en habilidades intelectuales. De hecho, después de la escuela, tomé un curso de Diseño de Experiencia de Usuario y ahora estoy terminando mi licenciatura en Sociología. Por eso soy bastante buena con las tecnologías y las redes sociales, y me interesan todos los temas que tienen que ver con la sociedad.
Todavía no he desarrollado habilidades manuales, pero tengo muchas ganas de hacerlo y ¡lo que busco en la experiencia Workawayer es precisamente eso!
