Beschreibung

Hello! We are Daniëlle (23, Dutch) and Robin (22, Dutch). Our goal, starting in 2024, is to explore all around Europe and hopefully find a place where we can settle down and build on our future together. In the meantime we would love to build connections and gain experiences helping other people through workaway.

In the past we had very different experiences. Daniëlle is a graduated primary school teacher and has been teaching fulltime for the last 3 years in Vlissingen. Before graduating she has worked in different cafe's and restaurants as a part-time waitress. In recent holidays she has spent her time travelling and teaching abroad. For example, a week of teaching in London in 2023, 4 weeks of teaching in Hanoi (Vietnam) in 2022, and travelling all around Turkey with a minivan september - november 2023. Aside from work, Danielle loves music and has played the trumpet and alt-saxophone in multiple orchestras. Other hobbies are crocheting and reading.

Robin has graduated in hospitality and gastronomy. In the past he has worked in different cafe's and restaurants. He also worked for 5 years in different hotels in Zeeland, Netherlands. Foreign experience is nothing new for him, since he spent 4 months working at a ski school with hotel in Austria (2023), and worked in a cafe in Adelaide, Australia in 2022. In his free time, Robin likes to bake. Bread, cakes, pie's, cookies.... He loves it!

We both love working with kids and animals. At home we have been taking care of our kat Kedi. We love hiking and exploring and hopefully do that in your area soon.

Danielle is graduated and has a bachalors degree of education. She is officially competent to teach English and Dutch. Danielle tries to learn a little bit of a language when she is in the country. She graduated high school in French and followed a Spanish course. She would love to learn more. Danielle has family that moved to Turkey. She knows some Turkish but would be open to learn more. Robin is open to learn any language based on the country we are visiting.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Eventhough we have different backgrounds in education, we do have some mutual skills. We both have experience in hospitality, working as a waiter/waitress, bartending and hotel cleaning. Also childcare is something we both have the right skillset for.
Danielle's expertise is teaching in primary school subjects and musical education. This career asks patience, flexibility and resourcefulness.
Robins expertise is hospitality and gastronomy. Working in this field requires to think under stress, to maintain an overview and to be a hard worker.

We both like gardening and working with plants. Robin knows a lot about plants and manages to let plants grow that are almost dying. Danielle likes gardening but knows there is a lot to learn about this. We both enjoy being creative. We like painting, crafting and working with our hands. We don't care about getting dirty, that's when a shower comes in handy right? ;)

Was noch ...

Danielle likes to crochet and would love to learn knitting one day. We love to play board games together. Our favourites are Ticket to Ride, Qwixx, Clever, Rummikub and we love to play dungeouns and dragons with our friends at home.
