Beschreibung

Originally we already met in kindergarden. When we were teenagers we fell in love and got married in 2016. 10 days later we left Germany for a year to work in and travel through Canada and Alaska. That was such a great time that we want to repeat it a little bit different now with our kids (Samuel, 5 years old and Jonah, 3 years old).

About Tabea:
I am an outgoing person who loves being outside and a simple lifestyle. It makes me happy being surrounded by my family and animals if possible. Then you often hear my laughter which is very typical for me friends say.
I love hiking, riding horses, mountains and meeting new people and cultures. So I'm looking forward to meet you!

About Phillip:
I am an athletic, strong man who is always on the hunt for a good picture. You will often see me with a baseball cap and my camera. I love hiking in the mountains, football, surfing and all kinds of sports. I'm also interested in meeting new people, discovering new places and willing to learn new things.
Our kids taught me being satisfied with the little things and to move slowlier.

About Samuel:
I am a powerful boy (5 years old) and a passionate mountainbiker as well as soccer player. In the forrest close to our home I am happy playing with sticks, stones, jumping around and digging in the ground. Camp fires and cars in general are also very interesting for me. I start learning English and Spanish and often get confused by switching the languages.

About Jonah:
I am 3 years old and (at least) as powerful as my big brother who I always try to imitate. Everything outside is my big hobby. I love playing in the forest, with water, cars and with Samuel. I am an very open minded boy and curious about the world.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

In other countries we have already done very different jobs: Tabea was a waitress, learned natural horsemanship, worked in a bakery... Phillip has done some general maintenance, did night shifts on a ranch by himself...
Together we helped with gardening and lived on a cattle ranch where we pulled out calves, drove tractor, helped with fencing, moving cattle around...
At home in Germany we have simple nine-to-five-jobs mainly in the office. But Tabea studied Geography and we are very interested in finding small solutions to make the world a little bit better and more sustainable.
Besides that we can do childcare because we are parents of two lovely boys. Tabea likes handling animals and has riding experiences for years. We are both curious to learn new things to find out some unknown skills.

Was noch ...

Before we had children we lived in Canada for a year where we loved working for free food an accomodation. So we met great people and fell in love with slow travelling.
Now we want to show our kids how colorful and beautiful our world is and that there are all kinds of differences, no abundance of food all year around and never ending resources.
We love travelling and want to take a year off as a family to grow together even more.
