Beschreibung

Hi there, I am Paul and I am from The Netherlands 🇳🇱 . A flat country with beautiful cities, windmills, delicious cheese, stroopwafels, deep-fried food and of course the Bossche bol. A pastry with whipped cream inside and chocolate on top, from my hometown Den Bosch.

In 2012 I started traveling. It gives me lots of energy to meet new people and I love to discover new places, nature and cultures together or on my own.

I love to contribute to a better environment and communities and I hope to keep doing this as a workawayer!

I love to do different projects with a group of people or alone. I love to be in nature and do outdoor sports, like bootcamp, tennis, biking and hiking,

I lived for a while in the Caribbean, the island Curacao 🇨🇼 . Over there I worked as a manager in a supermarket. From Curacao I traveled some countries in South and Middle America.

In 2018 I joined the Wilderness Conservation Programme ASKARI in Hoedspruit, South-Africa 🇿🇦 . With a group of 10 volunteers we assisted with projects and activities on Pidwa Wilderness Reserve, such as bird of Prey identification and monitoring, vegetation management, fence checks and maintenance, alien plant control, game release, reserve clean up. After this amazing project I traveled other countries in the south of Africa.

In 2019-2020 I lived in Australia 🇦🇺 where I worked in facility services during the Australian Open Tennis. I volunteered at Paula & Davids wildlife home, a beautiful place in Glastonbury (near Gympie). I helped taking care of injured wildlife and did lots of things at their property, like gardening, cleaning and rebuilding the kitchen garden. At the end of my trip in Australia I was a tour guide for in about 5 months at Paronella Park, an amazing park with waterfalls and castles in Far North Queensland.

In 2022 I did my first workaway project. In Nyagwethe village, Kenya 🇰🇪, I helped the community with teaching children computerskills, fundraising and supported the local soccer teams during the soccer tournament. An amazing experience back to basic. No running water for example, Victoria lake was the place for shower, laundry and dishwashing.

I hope to experience more of these great adventures and challenges as a workawayer :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I will explain a few of my skills below.

I love to take care of people. In hospitality, tour guiding, coaching and nursing.

I love to work with my hands. Gardening, building, physical work.

I am handy. I made a lot of furniture myself, decorated and built the inside of my house myself

I am good in bal sports and love to teach people to play sports. I was a bootcamp trainer for a while in The Netherlands.

I like to teach people the Dutch of English language. I did the same in previous relationships.

In my current job I am a coach. I teach new employees. In previous jobs I did a lot of job coaching as well.

I am patient and am a good listener. I am empathic, social, flexible and reliable.

I am at my best if I have different kind of jobs in a day.

Was noch ...

I am fan of monopoly deal (the card game of monopoly). Easy to bring with traveling. And like lots of other board and card games. In the past I played the card game Toepen a lot.

I like to do bootcamps in the nature. Thats why I always bring my TRX (exercise rope) with travels.
