Clémence

I have been dreaming of discovering Latino America for 15 years and now, with my partner Thomas, we finally made this dream come true ! We arrived in Mexico and we want to travel throughout the country meeting local people, share their daily life and learn from it. I consider myself a positive and helpful person. I am also a good listener, I love listening to other's life stories. If I have the opportunity to experience something new, I would always say YES (if I feel safe and I can trust the other persons involved, of course). I workawayed in Thailand 7 years ago, in a permaculture farm and in a school. In the past, I used to be a schoolteacher. I very much like children's company. I also worked in the Pyrénées mountains in France in a hostel. I have spent three years living in the middle of a forest in a little shed, experiencing a simple way of living. I love being surrounded with nature. I like gardening and I have some skills in wooden building too. I enjoy spending alone time when I feel tired, I draw mandalas which helps me connect to an inner peaceful state of mind. I have just started learning ukulele for a couple of months. I also like to sing and dance, especially with others if they enjoy it too.

I have been dreaming about coming to Mexico for more than a year, driven by this desire to discover sacred sites of precolombian civilizations and feeling particularly attracted by the mexican culture.
And, with my partner Clémence who shared with me this dream of travelling in this part of the world, we made this real !

Now, I am more than excited and joyful about the idea of exploring this country and living "the mexican life", discovering new ways of living and thinking the world.
I see myself as a curious and a social person, always happy about learning new stuff especially if it involves human connection.

I love talking about spirituality and sharing tools connected to emotionnal intelligence and communication.
When I don't use words, I enjoy playing percussions as a powerful way to build togetherness.
Quite often, I need some time alone to restore myself. In silence, I love writing poetry and staying in a state of contemplation.

It is my first time on workaway but I had the chance to travel quite a lot, volunteering in different places and experiencing life in community. I can help for pretty much everything, as long as I know how or if someone explains to me.

I feel confortable taking care of little children. I got some knowledge and know-how in wooden building as I was building my own little wooden house in the mountains. I have worked in a hostel in the mountains gardening and cooking for the restaurant. I love organizing places, sorting out, make spaces feel confortable, beautiful, tidy. I also used to teach French in Germany.

I lived in a community with 30 people for 2 years ; there, I have helped for pretty much everything from gardening (most of the time) to building/ preparing food for many people...
My job back in France is to be a trainer in Non Violent Communication so I love to take care about everything that is related to communication and relationships.
