We are a French-Canadian family (from Alberta, Canada) of 4. During the period under consideration everybody but me will be in Canada visiting the grand-parents, which is why I need help with the animals and the garden if I'm unavailable. We leave in the country side, on s small farm, in a small hamlet in the Lot department . Our house is on its own, slightly away from the closest neighbors. The noisiest ‘people’ are the 2 geese and the 2 dogs. The closest grocery store is 5 km away. Unfortunately we prefer to not accept families with children because of the dogs who have difficulties with the children.
Nous sommes une famille franco-canadienne (anglophone de la Province de l’Alberta) de 4 personnes. Sur la période concernée, toute la famille sera au Canada, à rendre visite aux grands-parents, sauf moi, d’où le besoin d’aide pour s'occuper des animaux et du jardin si je suis trop occupée avec mon travail. Ici, c’est la vie à la campagne. Nous vivons sur une petite ferme dans un hameau dans le Lot (46) mais notre maison est éloignée des voisins. Les ‘personnes’ les plus bruyantes sont les 2 oies ou les chiens. L’épicerie la plus proche est à 5 km. Malheureusement, nous preferons ne pas dire oui à une famille avec enfant à cause des chiens qui ont du mal avec les enfants.

The region is very touristy but I'm not sure I can accompany people too much. I have a practice in shamanic healing and Chinese medicine, gifts that I learned during the 20 years that I spent in Canada. My other passion is permaculture and food autonomy, subjects on which I am inexhaustible as long as I am asked a few questions 😊
La région est très touristique mais je ne suis pas sûre de pouvoir trop accompagner les gens. J’ai un cabinet en soins chamaniques et médecine chinoise, dons que j’ai appris durant les 20 ans que j’ai passé au Canada.
Mon autre passion est la permaculture et l’autonomie alimentaire, sujets sur lesquels je suis intarissable pour peu qu’on me pose quelques questions 😊

I have a mini, mini, farm in the Lot countryside with poultry, 4 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats as well as a family garden in permaculture. I would need help with some weeding/watering, mowing but above all being there to close the poultry in the evening or walk the 2 dogs if I am busy with my main activity. Most of the time, there won't even be anything to do.
J'ai une mini, mini, ferme en campagne lotoise (46) avec des volailles, 4 chevaux, 2 chiens et 2 chats ainsi qu'un jardin familial en permaculture. J'aurais besoin d'aide avec un peu de désherbage/arrosage, tonte mais surtout être là pour fermer les volailles le soir ou promener les 2 chiens si je suis occupée avec mon activité principale. La majorité du temps, il n'y aura même rien à faire.

Unterkunft
Single room in the house with adjacent bathrooms and shared kitchen. I also have a lot of space so if you have a motorhome for example, there is room. We can share meals without any problem. I cook quite a bit so I can cook, with some help needed when I give the workshops. However, it is quite possible to share this activity or take turns.

J'ai aussi beaucoup d'espace donc si vous avez un camping car par exemple, il y a de la place.
Nous pourrons partager les repas sans problème. Je cuisine pas mal alors je peux faire à manger, avec quelques besoins d'aide lorsque je donnerai les ateliers. Il est cependant tout à fait possible de partager cette activité ou faire à tour de role.

There are a lot of things to do around: visits to castles, caves, museums but also outdoor activities (rivers/canoeing or swimming, hiking, etc…). The region is very touristy but there are not too many people at this season. This is the best period, with autumn. If needed, I can lend a car on certain days. I also have 2 bikes to lend but my house is in the middle of the countryside, with the fields around...it will take a good pedal stroke to go sightseeing 😊
Il y a énormément de choses à faire autour : visites de châteaux, grottes, musées mais aussi activités de plein air (rivières/canoé ou nage, randonnées, etc…). La région est très touristique mais il n’y a pas trop de monde à cette saison. C’et la meilleure période, avec l’automne.
Si besoin est, je peux prêter une voiture certains jours. J’ai aussi 2 vélos à prêter mais ma maison est en pleine campagne, avec les champs autour…il faudra un bon coup de pédale pour aller faire du tourisme 😊
