  We are on a 4000 acre ranch with many buildings. We are starting to build a “private community” of like minded people. We are completely off grid, but do have starlink satellite for wifi. We are new to work away, but not to hosting. We love music (both listening and playing/singing), we are in the process of making a “family rec room/bar” in our converted barn which also sports a pool table and a commercial kitchen. We are right on the Nechako River an hour south of Vanderhoof. At the moment we have 5 dogs and 4 outdoor cats. We are getting chickens and other animals this spring.

  You will learn the off grid life in northern BC. You will learn a slower easier way of life for minimal to no cost of living. We welcome foreigners/cultural exchange. We live learning different types of farming in different countries and are willing to share our knowledge of farming in BC. We enjoying hearing and learning different languages and we can help you with English and French as well. All work waters are welcome to eat with us, or if they are shy you are welcome to cook for yourself (groceries will be provided). Our motto at the Ranch is “where friends become family”.

  Arbeit

  We would prefer stays that range from 2 weeks to months, or longer, depending if you are the right fit. We welcome other pets. We have MANY accommodations and are also looking to expand. Looking for help with gardening and getting the garden area ready, demolition of an unfinished hotel on the property, building of tiny homes suitable for work away couple/families, building and creating a “dog park”, and many other projects. Any skill level in any area is welcome; even no skill and you come to learn and help. We do smoke and are 420 friendly. There are no drugs permitted on the property, drinking is allowed.

  Unterkunft

  We have many dwellings for families, (5 bedroom home, 3 bedroom home and a one bedroom home), a cabin for a single person, and even bachelor apartments with full 4 piece bathroom available.

  The closest town is Vanderhoof, an hour north of us. You can bike or hike the 4000 acres.
