  We are a busy family of 5 (although only 4 living at home) living in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are approximately 1 hour east of San Francisco, 35 miles north of the Silicon Valley, 1 hour from Santa Cruz beach boardwalk, 3 hours from Tahoe, 1 hour from Napa wine country, and 3 hours from Yosemite National Park! We live in a quiet suburban town however it is the perfect home base to explore Northern California. We are a Christian family and our children are 15, 19 and 20.

  We are happy to help you practice your English and teach you about American Culture. We are old car and dirt bike enthusiasts and always have projects going on. We also have 2 goats, 3 rabbits and 1 cat that you are welcome to interact with and enjoy.

  Arbeit

  We look forward to opening our home and sharing our traditions with someone new! We are happy to help you practice your English and we would love to practice our Spanish if that is your native language.
  
  Your expected work tasks include helping with our household specifically with cooking and cleaning. Some of your duties would include grocery shopping, laundry, daily house cleaning and upkeep, and preparing dinner 4-5 nights a week. It would be a bonus if you could help tutor our 15 year old son too!
  We particularly love Mexican food and Costa Rican food but are open to other cuisines as well.
  Some small caretaking of the animals may be required on occasion (goats, rabbits and cat).
  Mostly you would be part of a family and helping with household chores.

  Unterkunft

  You will have privacy in your own VERY tiny house in our backyard. It is 8 feet by 16 feet and has a toilet, shower and small refrigerator. You are welcome to enjoy the backyard as well which has a BBQ, TV and hot tub.

  Was noch ...

  We are looking for about 20 hours/week of help so you will have plenty of time off to explore the area or secure other part time work if you choose. Most work will take place during the week and you will have weekends to explore California. During the weekdays one of us works from home however you will be able to do some housekeeping, cooking, grocery shopping, or enjoy the solitude of your tiny house. Evenings will be filled with family dinners which often includes friends as well.
