Beschreibung
Our English school and Permaculture Garden is located in Nalma, a small, traditional mountainous village overlooking the Annapurna range. The Project has been met with great support from the community and has grown quickly since it began. Many families are moving to nearby cities to provide education for their children and find job; the project allows families to remain in the place rather than leaving the village.

Arbeit
We welcome and encourage international volunteers to teach English to students. Volunteers are housed in the village and are immersed in the warm and welcoming community. Our volunteer program is expanding its volunteer work in the place outside of just the Annapurna English school, where our education volunteers teach. We now have both construction and agriculture programs based in the village, which are accepting help year round.
Building:
Our building project is welcoming international volunteers from all over the world to help with eco-friendly construction projects. We are looking specifically for volunteers with skills in construction and maintenance, such as carpenters, masons (contractors), plumbers, and electricians, but we will also accept any volunteers who are willing and able to help with some of the labor the project requires, even if you don't posses specific construction skills.
We are currently beginning construction on an Eco-friendly community home to house volunteers in Nalma and serve the needs of the community. We will also begin work soon on a greenhouse to meet the needs of our ever expanding organic farm. Other tasks for a building project volunteer may include general maintenance around the village and sharing ideas to help improve our buildings.
Aside from being immersed in the local culture, you will also stay (and work if you wish) with volunteers of our agriculture and education projects.
Agriculture:
With the help of several international volunteers, we have already begun an organic garden in Nalma that grows a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. The garden is constantly expanding and dedicated volunteers are consistently needed throughout the year to help maintain the crops.
The agriculture project is also a great way for you to learn and share ideas with both locals from the village and other volunteers. The garden is based on the ideas of permaculture in order to be as efficient as possible while maintaining the sanctity of the land around it. Volunteers with experience in permaculture and organic farming have worked with the villagers toSprachen
