Area: IbizaHello! We are an organic farm that has just restarted its business. We grow organic vegetables and fruit in the valley near Eivissa, the capital ‘city’. We are: Sanne from Holland; who works in the garden and Guillermo from Ibiza; the landowner and we run it together. With love for working with the earth to produce good clean food and a connection to nature we started the business again last year, building up slowly. (It was open for 5 years and closed its doors about 2 years ago.

Area: Sent, Graubünden, SwitzerlandDear Workawayers, Fully booked for this year, but we are looking for a couple from Christmas on this year. We, Til & Doro 52 and 50 years old are living high up in the mountains of Graubünden, the eastern part of Switzerland. Since 5 years we are running a Bed and Breakfast in this Romanish speaking area and we enjoy it very much. For the next winter season we are looking for help from Christmas until the end of March. Please be aware that the area where we are living is not very much populated. You won`t find shopping malls or a cinema here, but nature pure. Hiking, Biking and Rafting are the main sport activities in summer, skiing and snowboarding in Winter. We also have a nice Spa in the next village - full of mineralwater. We need somebody who is able to replace us once a week for one or two days, when the business is low. These persons should be able to communicate with people in English. It would be perfect if you are able to speak a little bit of German, but this is not really necessary. She/He should be reliable and work independently. Also we need help in the daily business, mainly in the mornings. Cleaning the rooms and preparing the breakfast. This position is ideal for a couple or two friends who like to take a time off of the stress of a city to enjoy the Winter in the mountains. Thank you very much for your application in advance.
Area: ConnachtYou will get a warm welcome at my smallholding in South-East Galway, close to the border with County Clare. I am a photo-journalist/musician and also an artist. I like nothing better than to share stories and chat with guests from other countries. Music, art and animal welfare play a big part in my life. My home is old but cosy. There is a guest-room for those who come to stay. The work is varied, depending on the time of year but would include some cleaning (house, studio and stable), painting (walls/fences), some cooking/baking and taking care of animals (a pony, a donkey and two cats). Helpers will have ample free time to explore the local area and will have one free day each week when they can travel by bus or train to Limerick, Ennis, Galway or other nearby towns. On other days they can go for walks or cycles to places of historical interest such as Coole Park, the home of Lady Augusta Gregory. The park was formerly the estate of the Gregory family. Coole House was built in the late 18th century for Robert Gregory. In 1880, Robert's great-grandson, William Henry Gregory married Isabella Augusta Persse, who became Lady Gregory. The walled garden contains an autograph tree, a copper beech that is engraved with initials of many of the leading figures of the Irish Literary Revival who were personal friends of Lady Gregory including William Butler Yeats, Edward Martyn, George Bernard Shaw, John Millington Synge and Sean O'Casey. The Yeats' poem 'The Wild Swans at Coole' was inspired by the beauty of the swans in the turlough at Coole Park. Yeats's home at Thoor Ballylee was just 5 km. away. In a nearby village there is an Oyster Festival and an open-air market. There is a library and a heritage centre where one can read and learn about the history of the area. On many evenings, there will be a live music session in the local pubs where one can join in or just listen. Once a month there is a car-boot sale where bargains can be had in every stall.
