Area: LeuvenWe are Val and Tim, together we are creating the worlds first pow-chasing hostel on wheels. An amazing project we hope you'll become a part off. We are converting a 12m American school bus into a hostel for 8 people with all needed utilities. Our plan is to drive through the Alpes and along the Atlantic coast in order to find the best snow and waves available. We have travelled around the world (doing some work away ourselves) the past two years on a budget of 9 euros a day. Quite a challenge but an unforgettable beautiful one. Almost a year ago now this idea popped into our head and now 10 months later we succeeded a crowd funding campaign, bought a bus in the US, shipped it to Belgium and took it to the conversion site. We're situated on a little piece of paradise, between horses, betweens the farms, with all the needed facilities and we are a 5 min bike ride away from the city center of Leuven, a beautiful city that is known for its famous University (KUL). In return for your help here you get delicious organic food (Val loves to cook), beers and of course a comfy bed, in a tent right now but probably in the bus soon. Plus of course you get to become a part of this stoked family, doing what they love an hoping you will share your passions and skills with them.
Area: South AustraliaFriendly young family living on a remote sheep and cattle station. Busy, busy, busy! In a nutshell... Sheep, dogs, school of the air, little kids, goats, cattle, jackaroos, jillaroos, snakes, drought, all you would expect to find in the bush (let's make that dirt). It's very dry here at the moment as we are in the clutches of a drought, let's hope it rains soon;) As quoted by the workaway couple that just left here... "true australian experience"
