Area: Midi Pyrenees

We are a British family, Sara, Jeff and Alex (18 year old son), in the Ariege, SW France near the Pyrenees. We have been running a gite in the area near the large town of Pamiers, since 2001. Presently we have a small 1 bedroom gite which accommodates up to 2 people and our busiest season is obviously in the summer months. We have a small farm, 5kms from Pamiers, a large town with good amenities and communication links to Toulouse and the Pyrenees, via bus, train or road. The farmhouse is nestled in a small valley in the hills, a quiet rural, beautiful and peaceful area surrounded by our land of 50 acres (20 hectares) which consists of woodland and fields. Sara is an artist, cordon bleu cook and Jeff is a retired stockbroker. Alex their son, is in his last year of school. We are a friendly family, socialable, enjoy cooking and having the odd glass of wine. We have a black labrador and an abundance of wildlife in the garden & barns: deer, wild boar, barn owl and hares to name but a few.

Area: Midi Pyrenees

We're a Dutch family living on goat farm in the Gers (South-West France, 20 km south of Auch). Four years ago we started with 80 goats and a ruine. Today the ruine has become a comfortable farmhouse and the amount of goats has almost doubled. This means that in spring we will be very busy when the kids (baby goats) are born and we could with an extra pair of hands. If you decide to volunteer here we will see you as equal to the rest of the members of our household which means you will take your share in cleaning and cooking. We've worked with volunteers before and it always has been a great experience.

Area: Brittany

Hurry! One space left for a volunteer to help us tackle our wild garden in Northern France. We need you Feb 18-27th. We'll be clearing, digging, and planting at our traditional stone cottage (where you will stay in comfort)! We have previously had very good experiences with interns and feel that we can offer a fun stay for anyone who is willing to work hard in return for good food and a break in a beautiful part of France.

We are a couple of travel dudes, Nikki & Sean, currently running a successful veggie B&B , spa retreat and workshop centre in south west France. Overlooking its own 30 acre valley of rolling meadows, woodlands and river. We're an exciting & enthusiastic couple and always have a variety of projects on the go, so helping hands, capable of adapting to any task, are always welcome! Nikki is an accomplished cook and massage therapist, catering to local & international clients. Sean is a multi talented young man, currently registered as a builder. His knowledge and passion extend well beyond the building game though and he is culturing mushrooms & creating photographic cards whenever spare time allows. Come and share in our dream lifestyle of working with nature, coppicing the woods, growing organic veg using permaculture techniques wherever possible, building structures that are both functional and fun knowing that you will be amongst like-minded people dedicated to living life to the full and to sharing experiences and ideas on all levels.

Area: Kerpe

Our farm is situated in Kerpe, near the Black Sea, 1.5 hours from Istanbul. We aim to build a center for our training and consultancy company, to offer an alternative type of training to people and host it in the nature and to share with them our philosophy of “ecological thinking”. We are experimenting a natural life, with organic farming, animals, vegetation and people, all in their natural cycle. For 3 years now we have been living on the site and working together with and in nature. This year, we want to re-organize the farm, in order to have an integrated and intelligent design to host people, organize entertaining events, workshops and trainings, sell its products and also to create a demonstration of how people can create great things with minimum investment. So we are willing to work with volunteers who will share our motivation to create something new and good and who will share our farm life with us!
