INTRODUCTION
We are a family business (holiday cottages and Bed & Breakfast).
We have woodland, garden, river and vegetable garden as well as a dog, cat, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea-pigs & geese. Jeronime is a qualified and experienced EFL teacher.

We are a large family with 7 children (3 at university) so our house is ALWAYS a very busy house.
We love walking the Fells, sailing, climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, camping, fishing & BBQs on the Lakeside.

Basically, if you can do it outdoors... you can do it in Keswick, the Adventure Capital of the UK.

1. Bedroom on the top floor of the main family house
2. One of our lovely B&B rooms

4. A room in our barn which we are slowly converting

We all eat together.

You can make tea / coffee / cordial anytime you want.

We usually have homemade biscuits & cake available for snacks as well as fresh fruit.

WorkAways are expected to help prepare meals, lay the table and clear-up after meals. This time is in addition to your 5 hours per day.

You will need to keep your rooms and the bathroom tidy.

What else ...

Our place is set in 3 acres of land, with garden, vegetable garden, woodland and river, 5 minutes walk to the centre of Keswick in Cumbria.

Keswick has a large international community who are very welcoming.

There are loads of groups & societies in Keswick (walking, knitting, climbing, singing, theatre....) some of which are free/very cheap to join. Most of our WorkAways have taken full advantage of these opportunities and have made good friends here.

We have boats and bikes for you to borrow.

We encourage you to only speak English whilst here. You will find that your English improves much quicker if you do.

Your WorkAway experience will be as good as the effort you put into it!!
