Housekeeper - 1st -20th December

Which one will you apply for?

From early January
To be in sole charge of cleaning the family house, help with the B&B & work in a team cleaning the self-catering cottages. Occasional babysitting.

From early January
must have qualifications / experience in some of the following:
plumbing / electrical work / carpentry / painting and decorating / woodland work / gardening / farming
You will be working outside and Cumbria can be wet and cold! Come prepared.
We would also like you to help clean guest accommodation on Saturdays.

We require Workawayers with experience, who are organised, conscientious, use time effectively, and who can work independently.

We do offer 'pocket money' to most long-stay (3 months or more) WorkAways after a trial period of two weeks. This ranges from £10 - £50 per week and is intended to help go to the cinema, the pub, use the swimming pool, the bus etc etc.

From the 1st December - This will now be paid half each week and half when you complete your agreed stay.

You MUST be prepared to be independent during your free-time. We have a busy guest house and family so although do try and include WorkAways in our family activities, we do prefer to accept WorkAways who do not rely on us for entertainment.

What else ...

Our place is set in 3 acres of land, with garden, vegetable garden, woodland and river, 5 minutes walk to the centre of Keswick in Cumbria.

Keswick has a large international community who are very welcoming.

There are loads of groups & societies in Keswick (walking, knitting, climbing, singing, theatre....) some of which are free/very cheap to join. Most of our WorkAways have taken full advantage of these opportunities and have made good friends here.

We have boats and bikes for you to borrow.

We encourage you to only speak English whilst here. You will find that your English improves much quicker if you do.

We are happy to help long term WorkAwayers find paid evening work in Keswick.
