Our sanctuary animals will love you!
We are a registered charity near Perth, Western Australia, on a beautiful 650acre property where we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome all kind of domestic animals
🐕🐈🐎🫏🐃🐖🐐🐑🦙🐓🐔🦃🦆🦚
21 years ago Sabine came from Germany and Switzerland and dedicated her life to the welfare of animals since then. For many years (before covid) we hosted international travellers at our property and always enjoyed the exchange of compassion, muscle power and brain ideas for a very appreciated stay at the sanctuary in our farmhouse’s guest rooms or caravans.Types of help and learning opportunities

During our years of hosting international travellers we learned that it is helpful that we can share the experiences of growing up and living on two different continents, Europe and Australia.
Our lives evolve around animals, but Sabine the founder being a psychiatrist and animal communicator, she also loves human interaction and would like to share this with visitors in our future goal of running retreats and workshops.Help
You can contribute to our project by
🐕 helping with the morning and evening runs
🐈 maintaining the animal shelters and housing (everyone but the hens are free ranging)
🐎 bringing in your knowledge and passion for particular animals to give them extra attention
🫏 helping with the many future projects like -
🌿🌿🌿 creating a large orchard
🐎🐎🐎 building a horse shelter
🐝🐝🐝 establishing our beehives
🐈🐈🐈 building a cat enclosure
🚃🚃🚃 renovating our vintage caravans
🧠🧠🧠 bringing in ideas for create funds
⏰⏰⏰ 1 month is our minimum stay! We would love to have people stay for long term (3 months or more) and these people would be prioritised over short term volunteers with their accommodation being in the larger caravans on the sanctuary .

🛌We offer our guest rooms in our farmhouse which has a shared bathroom.
🚃We also have caravans
🏡Dorm style accommodation may be required during peak periods
🐷We have 4 permanent live in volunteers and we can accept up to 7 work away volunteers so our sanctuary is very dynamic and busy
🛁We have a water issue at the moment and that means that our water is very precious and restricted. Showers are not possible currently however a bucket bath is permitted.
🍝We eat our dinner together and love to sit and talk around our big table in the evening out on the terrace. If you are a passionate cook or wouldn't mind preparing dinner for us, we have dedicated one of the evening jobs to this purpose. And after a full day of work we are all very grateful for what is put out for us 😊What else ...
Our sanctuary is one hour away from Perth and a quick ten minutes drive into the little rural town Toodyay, that offers all the necessary things like supermarkt, post office, train station and pub. And a lovely bakery with the best pies in Australia 😋
We usually drive to Perth once a week and are happy to take you with us, so you can do your shopping or explore the laid back atmosphere of the most isolated city in the world.
Train to Toodyay or your own vehicle is the only way to access our sanctuary.
We have limited internet access as we are rural, and we are home to nearly any kind of domestic animal species.
For safety reason our place is a non smoking one.A little more information
