Description
Hello!
Welcome to join our family:
Valentin (born 82), my wife Franciella (born 85), our daughter Emilia (born 2015) and our son Leonardo (born 2021).
We live in a house with garden in 70k-City Villach, in southern Austria. Surrounded by mountains and only 30min to Italy.
If you like to help each other and you are eager to learn and/or share your skills/knowledge - then read on.
If you don’t: stop reading here and look for another host.
We have 2 young kids, 1 1/2 full time jobs and a renovation in parallel. Currently we work in and around the house. Valentin works around 42h/week for an electronics company and at home is focusing on renovation and maintenance. Franciella works halftime for an industrial manufacturing company and spends most afternoons with the kids.
Our house has several rooms and a nice garden with trees and vegetables.
Currently we are looking for your support with all different kind of work e.g. cooking, cleaning, brooming, hoovering, wiping, sorting, dishwasher, washing machine, bathroom, rest room, cooking, windows, fridge, and/or DIY projects like painting walls, slitting in additional cables into the wall, close gaps in the wall, painting furniture, digging, organic gardening, etc
In the free time there is a lot to do. Villach is a touristic area known for its lakes, rivers and mountains. E.g. we could go to the park, in summer to a close lake for swimming, in winter for skating, We can borrow you a bicycle. We like going for a walk with the kids, in winter mostly sledging. We can drop you off in the city centre and pick you up from there. On Saturday or Sunday would be great to lean about your culture and we can share insights into Austrian and Mexican.
Current project:
We are renovating the house. Some rooms are not affected by the renovation and will be used the normal way.
Keeping the daily routine: During normal workdays we eat breakfast 06:55-7:20. Emi has to arrive at school 07:30-07:45. We want to start the day together and to help each other for breakfast. We would like your contribution with the daily necessities like cooking and cleaning.
In winter mornings we need to clear the snow in front of the garage and the house.
Garden: planting vegetables, trees, berries, flowers, transplant from pots to open soil, cutting trees, organic measures for better yield

We mainly helped Valentin with the renovation work: built a wall, painted a room and filled some holes. We learned a lot about plants from him, he is very kind, calm and curious and we watched an italian movie together.

I had a lovely time in Villach with Valentin, Franzi and the kids. They were always open for ideas and were not afraid to try new things. I could help just as much as I could learn from them.
Franzi is an amazing cook and she likes to do Mexican dishes regularly, so for me there was a… read more
I did tasks in and around the house (cleaning, laundry, the dishwasher and helped a little bit with the renovation) and it was a perfect mix between work and leisure, so I had enough time to explore the city and surrounding landscape.

Majo stayed around 20 days with us. We are a family of 4, two children 7 years and 20 months. We were very pleased and thankful that Majo stayed with us. Majo is very likeable and could find a lot of conversational topics and we even made a short trip. She helped us a lot in the house, chores which we can never find the time… read more
