Area: Nova ScotiaFor now, I really need lifetime/business partners for pure green blissful living of all. I've been a computer engineer, meditator, organic farmer, step dancer..:) I've been doing Qigong, Tai Chi, some yoga, step dancing, vibration therapy (sound therapy, color therapy, aroma therapy...), food medicines (healing herbs, organic/wild, fermentation foods...). Recently, I started to plan for my greenhouse home focusing on eco-friendliness and health; I'll build a greenhouse for growing organic foods; and I'll use the same design for my home, retail store, healing center, dance hall... This will be a open source version of green living styles; so anyone's help will be highly appreciated in many rewarding ways. Let's work together to change the world to paradise in a blissful way. Bliss, Gary Shee
Area: AquitaineWe are an Australian couple, architect and antique dealer, just relocated to the South of France in the Pyrénées Atlantique region. We've bought a gorgeous old chateau and are busy moving in and making some minor changes. Having bought the place furnished there is a lot of stuff in the attics that needs sorting. there are large stables needing cleaning and tidying. The garden is overgrown. Its a beautiful house set in a park in a tiny village with no shop or bakery now. The next nearest small town in 8km away. we live in a rural idyll with lush greenery, picturesque landscapes, and the Pyrénées sparkling on the horizon. 45 minutes drive to the ski fields and 80 minutes to the atlantic coast, Biarrritz or Hosseger. The chateau is shared with our fur family, two large dogs, and some friendly donkeys live in the park. soon we'll get chickens when we've made a house for them.
Area: British ColumbiaWe are a 40 something couple with a young son (10 in June '14), a nice dog, 2 retired horses, living off grid in a semi-intentional community outside of Lillooet, Statimc Territory. We just moved into our straw bale earth plastered home, on an old meadow in need of some permacultural TLC. We are lucky to generate our own power and draw drinking and irrigation water from Buck Creek, on Vast Mountain. We grow a fair amount and variety of food, using organic and permacultural methods, as well as medicinal and culinary herbs. Among other things, Gillian owns and operates a small home based herbal products business, as well as teaches Nia (dance fitness fun!). Jonathan, among other things, is a poet and carpenter, and connoisseur of fine beers and wines! Jamie is homeschooled, and loves to play the drums, ride his bike and build bike trails with his Dad, listen to stories and play Lego or Playmobil, build forts...and more. We are active in our community, where you will meet interesting and friendly people at regular potlucks and games nights. The valley we live in supplies and graces us with some of the freshest and cleanest air, water and soil once can find anywhere. In one's spare time, there is plenty of space to walk, rest, read, meditate, nap, pat the horses, or stroll over to the neighbour's to see what they're doing. The river is nearby and cool to say the least, lovely for a dip in the hot summertime. Town is 40 minutes away, 1/2 of the drive on a logging road - we're remote, though town trips are plenty enough if one needs to go to the post office, shop, see a doctor, do banking, go to the library, or use a real phone. We do NOT HAVE CELL SERVICE or a phone line here! but we do have shared internet, to keep in touch via email and to use Skype for brief calls. Volunteering would include a variety of tasks, from childcare (hanging out and playing really), horse care (manure pick up, feeding, fencing), garden work, easy enough jobs on the house, growing, harvesting, processing herbs, and so on. Help in the kitchen is a must - and if you can cook, great! Actually, if all you did was cook, wash dishes and helped around the house, that would be so great! We eat 3 healthy meals a day and plenty of snacks, are omnivores, and welcome vegetarians as long as they don't mind ethically treated animals at the table! The love of kids and ability to connect with them is also a real must.
Area: AlicanteI am on my own with my dog. I do takeaways and catering for holiday homes. I have 2 children who will be coming out to visit during the summer. I live 20 minute walk from the sea and all shops, bars and restaurants etc are within 5 minute walk. I love yoga, swimming, waterski-ing walking my dog and meditation. I am interested in Ayurveda and Feng Shui. I left my home with literally a car load of the wrong stuff and my dog 2 months ago!
