We are a beautiful country smallholdng on the edg eof the forest and we have an award winning music studio. We are just 15 kms outside of Knysna on the Garden Route in South Africa, a very safe and prptected national Reserve with forests and lakes.

This is a family run concern though my husband Howard largely works in his Music Studio and heps with the bigger projects on the farm. I am involved in a bit of everything and basically run the show. We also have a few permanent staff who help with Gardening and Housekeeping.

We are looking for volunteers all year round and we ask that you stay for a minimum of 2 weeks and are welcome if we are happy both ways to stay longer - Positions offered are for 1 month, 3 or even 6 months.

Please let us know what your strengths are and what you are keen on applying for.

We have various practical, creative and eco projects, from organic veggie planting, horse care, forest pathways, caring for Guests, reception, internet marketing, cleaning, cooking, plus sustainable initiatives and building maintenance, assistance in music studio.

We are offering a varied experience and welcome assistance on some or all of our projects.

They will be either in cabins or shared tents, all have beds and linen plus shared kitchen and communal bathrooms.

In the high season times, it may be in small camping tents not the forest tents.

Please note we do NOT provide full meals for workaway helpers, but we do provide tea, sugar, soy milk or coffee/tea creamer and a breakfast cereal/meusli mix, This is housed in the Forest Tent kitchen

There is a veggie garden and when its flourishing and has veggies you are welcome to pick from to make your own meals. From time to time we do have communal meals.
