I am an active veterinary surgeon in the area of southwestern Turkey. We operate as a wildlife rehabilitation center and ecological research facility. I run the farm alone with the help of local and international volunteers, who all live on the farm and participate in various projects. These include: - rehabilitation or lifelong care of wild animals, mainly predatory birds - organic seed bank and local plant genetics preservation project - cancer research project - education on ecological and sustainable living - environment protection and rehabilitation of Lake Burdur area - organic farm products and introduction of slow food - re-creating traditional rose plantations and rose oil production in the area A place to sleep and full board is provided in exchange for help in various projects. Working hours or days are not defined, it is up to the volunteers to participate in any ongoing work. Smoking is allowed outside of the housing area, internet and computer use is available.

An American expat writer and teacher living in Asia, I have a small comfortable but older 2-bedroom home just outside the city of Georgetown where I care for a well-behaved, quiet and very cuddly family of cats. The house is a block from the Tanjung Bungah beach with a bus stop just around the corner that can take you on the route between the jetty downtown and the Batu Ferringhi tourist resort. Visa seekers can get to consulates via bus or taxis; shoppers can walk to 3 different malls. A book lover, I live a fairly quiet life amidst a number of books and DVDs covering my many interests including world cultures, travel, theatre, films, art, teaching English, history, philosophy, and of course, lots of fiction. I do enjoy heading out to explore the island, taking time off from the many hours I spend online researching, writing, teaching, corresponding, etc. And love chatting over a cup of coffee or tea. Formerly a university professor in the U.S., I teach and coach a variety of subjects: English language at all levels from beginner child to adult graduate school level including test prep, also American and English literature (esp. Shakespeare), academic writing, theatre acting, directing, design, public speaking, presentations, computer for beginners, all Office applications, administration and non-profit management, career preparation (resumes, cover letters, job search, etc.), academic preparation (for undergraduate and graduate schools in English-speaking countries) and related topics.

I an an Australian architect working on experimental buildings, and also the co-founder of the non profit called Biomimicry Germany. We have this project to help restore an old house in Stockholm. There is a building team here that i am managing, but we need a little help with some of the basic tasks like plastering old walls, painting, etc Need to be willing to learn new tasks, a sense of humour, and be self motivated. There are 2 helpers here now, and you will have the chance to learn real building skills. Its 12 minutes from Stockholm central, and there is a forest and 2 lakes nearby also. High quality Food and Accommodation is provided. Maximum work hours is 5 hours per day. Monday to Friday.

Our farm is in Basilicata, here we do everything with love and respect for nature and for our land, in our organic farm with a small workshop where we make jams and preserves under oil. We also have a small B & B annex. We would be happy to show you our beautiful region, blue sea and wonderful countryside when there is enough time. We are happy to teach about and have a hand with jam making, in the vegetable garden and in our B & B. The work here can be quite varied (depending on the season) but, of course, there is always something to do! As it can often be very busy during the summer we are looking for self-sufficient people who possess the ability to,at times, or often in the summer, work alone.
