PLEASE TAKE NOTE: We do not host volunteers outside the above-written five calender months so please DO NOT apply for Jan, Feb, Mar, Jul, Nov, Dec :) Whilst our minimum age requirement is flexible, experience of the past two years has led us to give preference to volunteers 24/25 years of age and above. Critical to a volunteer's chances of being selected is how complete the Workawayer profile is - we look for key words and relevant skills, matching travel dates and PHOTOS. Our guests are mostly Indian families, therefore 'normal' and conservative (with regard to clothing) photos work for us. And even more important - how well a volunteer has read/studied the info contained in our Host listing - this will become crystal clear in the first volunteer email enquiry we receive and it is pretty much that first email whereby a volunteer's chances are determined. We introduce our volunteers as 'co-hosts,' being on hand to interact with guests, who being mostly Indian families, love the opportunity to meet travellers from other countries. Activities include assisting in the check-in/registration procedure, accompanying guests on orchard and forest walks, sharing meals times - meaning you'll eat well three times a day! We are looking for physically fit volunteers who love walking/hiking in the mountains as well as possessing a genuine interest in meeting and greeting people. As a reward you'll receive heartfelt invitations from guests to visit them in their homes all over India upon completing your volunteering The Orchard Retreat is part of the Banjara Camps and Retreats group, we place volunteers at the Orchard Retreat in Thanedhar and at our Sangla and Sojha properties, all situated in Himichal Pradesh. Thanedhar: (2400 metres) unfolds as a magnificent panorama of mountains, the slopes covered with pine forests or apple & cherry orchards. Nestled amongst the apple blossoms is the Banjara Orchard Retreat – a getaway that will enchant nature lovers. Please note: there is a climb of 93 steps from the retreat to the road, volunteers can expect to make the return climb two to three times daily. Sojha: (2683 metres) With unending slopes of emerald forests this is isolated nature at its most alluring. The Retreat is a solid cedar wood house surrounded by thickly wooded forests from which you get a panoramic view of the snow covered Himalayan ranges in the distance. Please note: there is a climb of 137 steps from the retreat to the road, volunteers can expect to make the return climb two to three times daily. Sangla: (2740 metres) For six months every year, the Himalayan valleys of Kinnaur and Spiti emerge from a thick cloak of snow to reveal a different, secret world. Your discovery of the lesser-known Himalayas can begin at the Banjara Camp in the Sangla Valley, surrounded by towering mountains on all sides and set on the banks of the Baspa river that surges through the valley. Please note: to volunteer here you need to be physically strong and capable of daily hikes of some endurance. Nights will be cool and your accommodation basic.

Area: Mugla, Fethiye

Musicians (sings&plays) and Music Groups!! Come and just do what you love.... We are a boutique hotel, in a peaceful garden near, Fethiye (Mugla - Turkey). We are only ten minutes walk from the beach. This organization is mainly for guest who enjoys adrenalin sports and their family and friends. We have air conditioned rooms, tents, swimming pool, bar and restaurant. We are not very strict but we need disciplined volunteers to work with us. **Volunteers are needed in the hotel area, so please dont send us request for the adrenalin sports!!

We accept members of Workaway.info, all year round. There are olive groves, orchard, vegetable gardens, flower gardens, dams, dog, donkeys, and poultry. Work includes all aspects of property management, olive groves, and our B&B. Our place has four guest bedrooms (2 doubles and 2 twins), so we can accommodate up to eight, but we normally prefer to only take one or two WorkAwayers at a time unless our current projects require more. We also normally prefer those who have done Volunteering or WorkAway before, as we have found that they appreciate what we have to offer and look after things with greater care. I live in Stroud, in the beautiful Cotswolds in the south west of England. I live with my cat, Timmy. Stroud is a small town but very vibrant and I join in a lot of the activities on offer - cinema, theatre, music of all kinds, dancing: circle dancing, French, Greek etc walking in the countryside. The town has a real cafe culture. On Saturdays there is a market selling organic food, plants, pottery, home made cakes and more. SORRY, FULL UP IN 2013. Apply in 2014.

We are in south-west corner of Turkey , in Fethiye , a very lucky area with a generous sunshine , fertility , and beautiful scenery . We started our farm , The Prickly Pear , few years ago . Our 6-hectare-farm , where we try to make sustainable farming and experiment Permaculture and Natural Farming principles , is 45 km away from Fethiye . Our farm comprises arid , barren soil , dry landscape , all of which we intend to make more productive over the coming years . Mainly we have olive trees and newly planted fig trees , vineyard , variety of fruit trees . We have some ducks , turkey , and chickens sharing the life around the trees . We are in a very early stage of our farm , so , being a new farm , we have lots of things to do . Therefore , we need your different ideas , visions , perspectives and your participation . We are converting once so started monoculture olive orchard into a Food Forest , with the inspiration of Natural way of Farming , so , we are now planting some other fruit and non-fruit tress between the olive trees . Here we will be talking the Language of Nature and you will experience some principles of Natural Farming . I have dreams within reality or reality within dreams ; you can be part of weaving the dreams and reality . *** Accommodation : We have accommodation for you in our 10-room small hotel in Fethiye city ; Cam Hotel . We can accommodate up to 6 friends in our hotel , in high season you may have to share a room with a friend . We go to our farm almost everyday , do some work and come back to Fethiye for the night . Also , we sleep at our farm in kind of primitive conditions , sharing a room with all friends . Sharing Life : I do not call it ::volunteering work experience:: but ::sharing life:: ; learning from each others experiences , we design the life together , expand our horizons together , use our skills in a productive way , and contribute to the nature as much as we can . When we have some work to do , we work ; little or very late , we work . When we want to have free time , we have it . I hate to limit the life in hours . I hate the measures , calculations , accounts , weighing machines , scales ; I have broken all of them ; I try to hear the beautiful voice of the natural order . The perfect nature does not have weighing machines , only we have unjust scales . I do not smoke . You do not smoke . We do not smoke . With my all respect and love , smoking friends , I do really care about your health . As Permaculture suggests , problem is solution ; if there is a problem , then , definitely there is a positive solution . We talk about solving all kinds of problems positively , but we do not smoke . I do prefer you stay at least one week . We appreciate your participation for few weeks or consider long term stay . It is a good idea to have some good field shoes . Having good shoes , then we can start to walk or run , searching for life , searching for the road to the nature , that we have few main roads in our life and many thin paths that nourish us like the capillary roots of a tree . Create a capillary path here with the guidance of the perfect nature / share the perfectness of the nature / and , enjoy it . Our hotel is just 5 minutes walk to the seaside where we have a very long promenade and many cafes and restaurants . Also our hotel is just 5 minutes drive to Calis Beach , the main beach of Fethiye , which is famous with her sunsets . When you are with us here , you have the opportunity to visit ::: * Oludeniz Beach , that is our world-famous beautiful beach , 15 km away from Fethiye . * On our way to Oludeniz Beach , we have Ghost Village – Kayakoy - , largely abandoned after a population exchange agreement signed by the Turkish and Greek governments in 1923 . Today Kayakoy village serves as a museum and is a historical monument . Around 500 houses remain as ruins and are under the protection of the Turkish government , including two Greek Orthodox Churches , which remain the most important sights of the ghost town . Most probably one day I will take you there to visit Ghost Village and touch the stones of the deserted houses , to feel the life and to sense that there is no death in life . * Saklikent , it is a wanderful gorge of more than 20 km long , it is just across our farm, 10 minutes driving . After we finish daily work at our farm , we sometimes award ourselves with a glass of beer , our feet immersed in freezing waters of Saklikent Gorge . * Many antique Lycian cities , like Cadianda , Xanthos , Letoon and Tlos . Tlos is very near to our farm ; you will have a chance to visit Tlos , most probably I will take you there . Enjoy sharing Organic Intelligent Life .
