Description
We have moved! We are now in Wadeville, (NSW)
We are looking for strong and willing workers-helpers to help us in our yard, simple carpenty, gardening, yard work etc. There are many jobs to do on our properties. While some jobs maybe mundane, we will try to include some varieties of work to make your stay worthwhile. We are in the midst of de-cluttering and sorting out our yards and
storage area to create a nicer environment for ourselves as well as for future accommodation for visitors like you.
We have plans to build an organic vege patch within a fenced off area to prevent foraging by the wildlives in our yards.
We need helpers at least 5 days a week at 5 hours each day. Saturdays and SUNDAYS are FREE-DAYS (DO YOUR OWN THING), unless theres an emergency in the area. We supply basic Food, coffee and tea everyday that you are here, but you are expected to prepare your own meals . Accommodation is only suited for single males or single strong females but not for couples as helpers are expected to share rooms (communal). We do not have Wifi but connectable internet within the premises. Simple HouseRules apply eg Keep the kitchen clean, bathroom clean-up duties, do the dishes, make your beds, etc.
Though we try to keep our calender open, we cannot promise long stay for any one helper. We do have family commitment overseas and time to time may have to travel especially in December- January months. Such dates are not predictable.
NO PETS, NO SMOKERS, NO DRUGS, NO ALCOHOL. We strongly insist on Healthy-Living workers only. Your ID will be required for reference checks and recorded in our system. We are in a Drought season and YES you must be very
careful with water usage as "no rain = no water". SMOKERS are rejected on sight as it is bush-fire season now.
We live in a yurt and we have built many yurts throughout Australia. We have a big collection of videos on our yurt
constructions and will be happy to share and teach (theory) should you be interested in building a tiny house for yourself. However, there is no current nor future yurt building nor building projects for you to participate in.
WORKAWAY helpers will only be engaged in yard work, gardening, de-cluttering our storage and yards. weeding, help around the property and share your cooking recipes!Types of help and learning opportunities
