My husband and I are a young couple who live in beautiful Normandy with our lovely 20 month old baby daughter Jasmine. We need help with various projects indoors and outdoors. For girls this is mainly helping me at home and for boys this is helping Nico on site with the renovation project. 1 - I work from home helping English people with settling into France (I am English and Nico is French, we are both bi-lingual), so I need some help at home while I work. This is mainly cleaning, cooking, tidying, gardening and babysitting. 2- My mum lives close by and again needs similar help to us. It is also quite nice to change places for a few days. 3- We recently bought a traditional Normandy second home nearby which my husband is restoring. He has finished the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and has now started on the living area and upstairs bedrooms. The work here is painting, sanding, plastering and helping with general building if you are interested. We are also doing lots of work in our 6 and a half acre garden which is actually an orchard at the moment! We are looking for volunteers to help us for stays of 2 weeks minimum. We welcome single (male or female) travellers and also couples. If you are travelling as a couple you may not necessarily be working together. We expect 5 hours work 5 days a week in return for your accommodation and all your basic food. We love the idea of Workaway, being able to make new friends from different countries!

We are Alice, grace, Lawrence, William and Steve. Grace, Lawrence, William and Steve are our children. Single mother with youthful children, two at the university and two at the high school. We live in a place near the road and bordering five slum areas. Alice is the founder member of the Foundation which is a non- profit organization registered in 2010 with a mandate to establish schools in slums and rural areas for the poor children to access quality education. We offer charitable services supporting the poor children with education materials/facilities, trainings, teaching, establishing schools, advocacy. I have been a Pastor for 20 years. I hold a bachelors degree from St. Paul's University and Iam working on my Masters degree in Sociology from University of Nairobi.We work with communitiesSchools,churches for better results of identifying the poor.Dealing with children who are poor and touching their lives is what I dream doing everyday. My family supports the work we do to the disadvantaged families we welcome volunteers to team up and touch lives through your skills ,experiences and any moral and financial support available we welcome it.We are also looking for volunteers to donate computers,work on web design , event planners, carpenters and generous sponsors to the less fortunate children. As an organization we do not discriminate the choice of volunteers. We welcome families, Individuals,couples and missionaries,retires,those who want a break from work to be stress free .Even if you are not coming to teach but just want to see what we do ,you will be our guest .We will host you and make sure you accomplish your mission safely by our support.We are friendly and love visitors. The organization whose scope is international has board members and we work in the poor urban slums and rural areas with a target of having more established Schools to meet the needs of the poor families who have no access to quality education. We stay two kilometers away from the school. We have stayed with volunteers from Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Japan and one friend from Australia. We speak English and Swahili and in rural areas mother tongue. We teach our volunteers Swahili for easier communication. After a period of volunteering to our organization's project we give them a recommendation letter and certificate of participation.We take them out for a work camp,visit areas of cultural interest ,teach them to cook our Kenyan food on their free time.We have partnered with a terminal tours for those volunteers who want to see Maasai Mara an exciting and memorable place when you visit Kenya you meet crocodiles and all sorts of animals.You can stay in a place from 2-6days depending on your budget.

About our Project On December 16, 2011 the island of Mindanao was hit by Typhoon Washi – locally known as “Sendong.” Heavy rains caused destructive flash flooding which killed over 1,200 people and left hundreds more still missing. Nearly 50,000 homes were damaged or destroyed. After more than a year of hard work, we’ve now completed our goal of building 216 high-quality permanent home for displaced families, officially marking the end of Project Cagayan de Oro. With the majority of these newly built homes already occupied, the lucky beneficiary families are now able to re-start their lives in vibrant and safe new communities, well away from the flood-prone Cagayan River. But more than fifteen months since the devastating flash floods swept through this disaster-prone city, thousands of residents are still living in increasingly uncomfortable temporary homes, or depending on friends and family for living space. As time goes by, the temptation to move back to the riverbanks increases; a situation that was once again proven dangerous when another major typhoon hit just a few months ago and flooded many of the same areas. Our Project is the next phase of our Typhoon Sendong response project in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. We’re building 88 more homes and we need your help! Help us to rebuild an old farm. We, Daniel (44) and Enok (born 2012), live on a former farm in Västra Götalands län between lakes Vänern and Vättern. Daniel moved in 2011 from Germany to Sweden. Enok is a Border Collie and so far the only animal on the farm. The renovation of the buildings is currently the focus, but also the garden offers many projects and variety.

We are an Anglo Franco family living in a large rambling house in the middle of the Dordogne countryside in South West France for the past twenty years. We are looking for competent DIYers/gardeners and or qualified plumbers, bricklayers, stone masons, carpenters to help with a number of building projects. We have walnut, apple, pear, cherry, hazelnut and plum trees. We have about 10,000 sq. metres of land. Our daughter and her French husband and their daughter live nearby. Our middle son and his French Fiancé are renovating a town house near by and our youngest son is studying at Bordeaux University and comes home most weekends with his French girlfriend. Our eldest children are frequent visitors to the house for dinner and the odd cup of tea. Our part of the Dordogne is spectacularly beautiful. There are rivers and lakes to swim in, as well as canoeing and two great swimming pools nearby. Rock climbing, walking,horse riding at local stables, picnics and caves to explore as well as historic towns to visit. Wild boar, deer and wildlife are abundant and Buzzards and Black Kite are to be seen circling on the air currents on a daily basis. There are local markets as well as historic town centres and buildings to interest everyone. During the summer months there are music concerts everywhere and lots of village fetes and lots of local things to do. We do live in the middle of the countryside so will ensure you get the chance to visit local attractions and do fun things on your non working time.
