Région: New York StateIt all started with an opportunity for vacant land along Detroit and Peckham Street. We view vacant space, and houses as a canvas for grounded wisdom of home repair, and food production, as well as creative expression. We are poor, in a poor city in a poor neighborhood, but strive to enjoy our abundance with others. There's no shortage of sunlight in the summer, so we are generally working on projects in the area every day. The farm has many daily responsibilities, including conversing with neighbors, *watering, weeding, transplanting, seeding and fertilizing. We salvage building materials, and our materials garage can be used for small building projects such as a gazebo, park benches and a treehouse. We would like to get some hands together for a EarthShip-style wall building. There are no shortages of canvases for the aspiring muralist, and plenty of house paint to get started. There are several buildings being rehabbed for people involved with the farm, and in the near future would like to establish a community land trust for houses, some commercial space, and for maintaining vacant land. Your help would be appreciated. We appreciate a mix of creative and building activities in our own work days, and hope you can enjoy the same. You will have a good opportunity to get a feel for the different shades of the rust belt, and have easy access to the rest of the city. We have several bikes for use, cook daily, and have a place to stay, or get away, which ever you please.
Région: EnglandFirstly, I can only have 1 person as a workaway at any one time, I do not have enough room for more as I live in a small house. Usual stay is 2-3 weeks at the time, flexible arrangement to suit both, worker and I. This year's task is to make my garden into a award winning space. Only kidding really but I would love to make it as nice as possible, so there is a lot of planting and landscaping to do. I am really looking for some gardening know-how with muscle if possible. I live rather a quiet life, so this would suit somebody who is happy in their own company and self motivated. I share the house with a puppy, 2 cranky old cats and the garden with 4 daft chickens. I live in Plymouth, buses to city center take about 15 min, shops etc are 2 min away so it is easy to explore beautiful Devon and Cornwall.

Région: LeinsterRobert and I live in a beautiful Georgian House above a river and near to a old Quaker village. We are about an hour out of Dublin (close to bus route). We take Bed and Breakfast guests, sometimes giving them supper too. Our garden is quite big with lots of trees and big lawns and we have lots of old stone walls, some in need of tender loving care. We try to have a veggie garden as that's very satisfying but often run out of time to do it properly with other things that need attention. We have two black labradors (mother and daughter) and an elderly Jack Russell called Mini who is the boss.
Région: AndaluciaHello! We are a little family living in the south of Spain. My name is Luz and Pablo is my two and a half year old son. I work as a doula (suponting women and families during pregnancy, birth and first months) Thats my work and my passion as well, so I'm very lucky to do what I love. I work with two midwifes and we support hospital and home births. Im a single mother, so sometimes is hard to find the way of working and mothering all together. We are almost vegetarian (sometimes we eat fish outside) and we try to haver a very healthy way of life. I am half German half Spanish, but I speak English to my son (I try to give my best)
