Workawayers always welcome in Tuscany.
Description
We are a family of three who lives in Lucca, close to the historical centre of the town.
We are addressing to workaway for two reasons:
1) A help as au pair in for two/three weeks from the middle of July to the beginning of August of our lively and smiling daughter of 6 years old. She speaks a bit of english and she is very sociable.
2) A help with works in a couple of apartments:
a) We own a cosy apartment that we rent to tourists from time to time, and we would need a help in cleaning the taking care of the apartment during the touristic season.
Basically the work consists in taking care of the garden, cleaning the flat and doing some basic maintenance.
b) We would need also help in another apartment to restore the furniture, the frames and the pictures, to put new lamps. It's a new apartment that we should make ready to be rent to tourists.
Here the work would consist in doing general maintenance, wood works, cleaning, painting the frames etc... I would need a person able to paint or doing little artistic works and manual skills to do do-it-yourself little works.
In the first case (au pair) we could offer accommodation in our home in a single private bedroom.
In the second case (help with work) we could offer accommodation in our home in a shared bedroom with our daughter.
Any help from 2 weeks to 1 month is available.

Our daughter is smiling, sociable and energetic, therefore it's very easy to get on well with her. She speaks a bit of english and therefore you don't need to speak Italian to communicate with her.
2) In the second case the volunteer work would consist of 5/6 hours a day:

Accommodation
In the first case (au pair) we can offer you a single room with a shared bathroom. We are clean and tidy people and we search clean a tidy people to live with.
In the second case (works) we can offer you the bedroom of our daughter and you'll share the bedroom with her.

We have a cat, Titty who lives with us and therefore keep it in mind in case you are alergic.

Barbara is an intelligent, open and extrovert person, full of energy and enthusiasm for helping. She was very helpful in giving a hand with restoring the apartment. She was careful, precise in the work and very capable.
I recommend her as a workawayer. She speaks an excellent english and a fairly good italian. She is a very good choice.

It was my first workaway-experience and I stayed for two weeks with Giovanna,Fabrizzio and little Laura, helping with restoring the apartment. The work was interesting and Giovanna is a patient and person.She helped me a lot to get better in Italian. I shared a bedroom with Laura, and think this is not the perfect solution,because of different more
