Our first experience with Workaway couldn’t have been better. And not just because we love dogs and became attached to each one of them, but also thanks to Kristin. She is a special person, and we had a great connection from the very first moment, making us feel at home. It’s very important to her that her guests feel comfortable in her house. She
… read more even lent us her car whenever she could, so we didn’t have to rely on public transport to get around. Plus, the village is very close, and it only takes a few minutes to reach the supermarket by bike. We only regretted not spending more time with her due to her long work shifts, but it was enjoyable to share moments and talk. She also taught us how to make waffles and eat them the “Norwegian way.”
As for the puppies, they are adorable. Kristin taught us a lot about them and how they think, and day by day, it became easier for us as we learned to understand them. It definitely takes strength to take them for walks, attention, and sometimes even patience, but they are so sweet and love meeting new people. We also got to know Chilli, the puppies’ mom, who sleeps in front of the rooms because she doesn’t like being alone for long.
The walks are pleasant due to the beautiful scenery in the forest. For carpentry lovers, there’s always work to do; there’s always something to fix or design together with Kristin. Last but not least, the cat Skybert was the cherry on top; he’s a very sweet cat, and during the month we were there, there wasn’t a night he didn’t sleep with us.
We are very happy with this experience and would have loved to stay longer, so thank you again, Kristin. Hope to see you again!
Our experience with Kristin was fantastic from day one. Kristin was very prompt to communicate and organise our stay. All of the instructions for the location of the property were perfect - the home is very easy to get to via public transport.

We're really grateful for our time with Kristin and the puppies and we couldn't recommend this Workaway more! An amazing first Workaway experience.

I've stayed at Kristin's for almost 3 months. It was a great experience.

I stayed at Christine's house for about three weeks in October. There, I took care of two Alaskan Malamutes, cooked dinner, expanded the dog's yard, cleaned the shed, made the puppies' beds, tended the fireplace, butchered a deer, and made treats for the dogs.
The female chile is very smart and full of grace. In the forest she transforms into a

Male Boulder is very large and strong, but contrary to his appearance, he is very sweet and will easily turn over and ask to be petted.

It was a privilege to spend three weeks with Kristin and her two beloved dogs in the great outdoors of Norway. I am convinced that the true happiness of human beings lies here. I would love to come back someday.
Thank you Christine! Thank you Chile, Boulder!

It took a few days to get to know them and what they needed but we soon found our rhythm and stopped being intimidated by Balder’s size and quickly saw that he is a massive soft teddy bear in need of lots of cuddles and attention! Chili is a lot more reserved but definitely the queen and leader of the pack.
