Description
Hey! I'm restoring a typical spanish finca with orange fields, fig tree, avocado tree, banana bush and many other tasty fruits. The goal is to create a nice place for me to live comfortably off-grid and welcome people like you to create lovely projects with me. I have a Youtube channel where you can see the place in more detail and get the feeling of what long term plans are. Ask me for the link. Yoga, social gatherings, sharing the passion for food and simple life with others... in short :) this idea will develop further when I find out more about myself and what I enjoy doing.
I rent an apartment in Pego and the house we will be working on is 5 min drive out of the town - or 30 minutes walk.
I have no children - only a dog and two cats. But they are truly like my kids.
Priority:
*** I want to build wicking bed garden with IBC tanks - do you have experience? Get in touch! ***
Workawayer tasks will include:
- Simple gardening tasks
- Plastering, painting, mixing concrete, insulating the walls
- Demolition - removing the tiled floor
- Tiling
- Picking fruits and processing them (I will teach you how and I'm hoping to learn some more methods, too)
- Running the household with me - groceries, cooking (shared responsibility with me!)
- Occasional dog walking & house sittingTypes of help and learning opportunities

I live in a very unique area of Spain that has a microclimate that allows mangoes, bananas, avocados and other tropical fruits to grow and thrive. I am a yoga teacher and remote worker and I am happy to share my experience living in a small Spanish town.
What is there to do around Pego:
- 10 min drive to natural park Marjal de Pego-Oliva
- 10 minutes drive to hot springs Font Salada
- 20 min drive to a long, sandy, dog friendly beach
- surrounded by mountains with stunning hikes
- local fiestas and happenings all the time
- perfect cycling roads in every direction
- many opportunities to connect with young people locallyHost offers payment in line with the minimum wage

Help
I need help with arranging space inside of the house - plumbing, solar system, insulation, plastering, etc.
Majority of the projects I will need help with is building and finishing the house, processing the oranges (jams, juices, any other ideas?) in the season and some light gardening work. I am open to ideas, too!
I have experience with small building projects, painting, superadobe building method and will create opportunities to learn methods and skills I have. I hope I can learn something from you, too. Specifically tiling, plastering, plumbing.Languages spoken

I rent an apartment that has everything like you'd expect in modern day and age (air-conditioning, washing machine, high-speed Internet).
You will have your personal bedroom to get rest and sleep. Apartment has fully equipped kitchen and big living room to share. What else ...
Pego is a calm and charming town that has a lot to offer. I am still learning about it every day myself.
The best way to get to Pego by plane is flying to either Valencia or Alicante airports.
Then, there is a bus to Gandia or Denia and I can pick you up from there.A little more information
